Where are all the Marvel games??

Right now it seems like Marvel could really care less about console games. This is the one area that DC is completely OWNING Marvel at. DC has been turning out quality titles like the Arkham games & Injustice, while all we've got recently are Lego Marvel & Deadpool. Lego Marvel is a great game, but it could have been just as good if it was Lego DC Superheroes instead & Deadpool is a decent game, but will only be remembered by fans of the character.

Hopefully Marvel/Disney announce something soon. Ubisoft getting the Marvel rights would be fantastic....as long as they let Capcom make Marvel vs Capcom 4 in a couple years.

Iron Man is downright dreadful. Its a pathetic embarrassment for the license. It was broken and controlled terribly. Not to mention, it was just plain boring

I didn't forget the PS3/XBox360 version of the game
I didn't play it, but saw enough to turn me away and believe you
The PS2/PC version had a different development team, the flight is ok, and the controls are not broken

I was talking about the PC version as that was the one I touched. It has a Metacritic score of 32 which is deserved bc the game was trash: http://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/iron-man

I was lucky with controls on that one, but I agree, the game is boring
Then you are very, VERY, fortunate if you did not touch the PS3 version, that one is even worse

it's what been happening with DCUO as Jens Anderson the director DCUO explained on you tube with their own and this is the control that will happen when and if they give their ip's of characters to someone like Ubisoft to make games out of. They (Marvel) just want better say.

If they do make Marvel vs Capcom 4, I hope they don't do what they did with first version of Marvel vs Capcom 3 and give nothing more than a short menu, and almost half the characters are dlc

The fun thing about Marvel vs Capcom thing is how each release is one made for each generation of Playstation
PS1 : MvC1
PS2 : MvC2
PS3 : MvC3

Can you imagine an Iron Man game made by a competent studio? I really hope Marvel starts putting effort into their games one day.

I have a feeling Disney are going to make a deal with EA for the future Marvel games, which is kind of bittersweet. The games will be good, because EA has a lot of great developers like BioWare, but EA will meddle and add micro transactions to all the games and make everything into DLC because they're greedy ass holes.

I just want an insanely clever Mua type game. I loved the first one. The second was lacking. But one that has great story, gameplay, and big roster would be great.

I'd love some games for characters like Ghost Rider, or Punisher. More aimed at adults, because theres a huge demographic for gamers in the late teens/20s/early 30s that is completely untapped.

The Punisher game made by Volition studios is great
If you want a great successor to that, play the Saints Row games

Hulk ultimate destruction is still one of the best comic book games but it didn't really make a lot of money, I guess that's when marvel decided to move their strategy away from video games.

Such a shame. A captain America game done in the style of call of duty (but not every year) would be mind blowing

I'm glad Marvel cut down on the console games because a lot of them were getting mediocre. Spider-Man: Edge of Time and that last X-Men game were pretty disappointing.

If there is an idea to do some really awesome, high-concept AAA Marvel title, I say do it. But until then, I think they are fine by cutting down on mediocre console releases and just doing mobile titles instead.

I mean Avengers Alliance wasn't a fancy game, but for what it was, very well done.

I hope Marvel makes a deal with a high quality studio/publisher and we get Marvel games that are as good as the best AAA titles out there, with the same love and attention that Batman gets with the Arkham franchise. Start out with a game for a character like Iron Man or Captain America and give it the time and resources to be great, and if it's well received and makes enough money, you can create an entire Marvel universe out of it just like Marvel Studios used Iron Man to build their MCU.

I hope Disney is doing the same thing they're doing for Star Wars. While I hate the fact we're going to miss out on Star Wars 1313, we're going to get some new, big Star Wars games within the next few years. With Marvel, I can't think of a single cancelled game that I actually care about.

Speaking of Star Wars, what would you guys think of a Marvel vs Star Wars fighting game? They're both under the disney umbrella now so I'm sure its plausible.
