Where are all the Marvel games??

Based on what a few developers have said at Evo, sounds like the MvC collection still has some work to be finished.

Ah well let’s cross our fingers for something decent! Hopefully it’s not just fortnite stuff

A new fighting game would be nice. Or a Marvel Ultimate Alliance (sequel or a similar game) would be great as well.

I would love a new AAA Marvel fighting game especially with the likes of Shang-Chi, several X-Men, the Fantastic 4 and the other Marvel lead characters that were absent in MVC: Infinite. But I don't see a new Marvel fighting game taking off. They are probably better off working on a Thor action adventure game.

Shang chi would be amazing. Actually call me crazy but a Nightcrawler game would absolutely slay. Like him just bamfing around with double swords would be the coolest thing ever

I wish the new Captain America game is just Captain America, especially Black Panther is also getting a game from another studio. It feels weird that its a team up when Captain America has yet to get a proper game that isn't a movie tie in.

I hope that, Iron Man, Blade, Wolverine and Black Panther turn out to be good. When I was playing Insomniac Spider-Man, I thought what if Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Daredevil, Blade, Dr. Strange, Ant-Man, Captain Marvel, Black Panther, also got a solo 3rd person action adventures game with cinematic visuals, that would dwelve deeper to their respective rogues gallery/supporting character, more compare to the movies. A Thor game that let us visit all the 9 realms and have boss fights in every single one of them. Ant-Man with his obscure rogues gallery. I still don't know much Captain America's rogues gallery after all his time in the MCU. Captain Marvel's cosmic adventures.

The two games I believe have the potential to be great are 1943 and the Iron Man game.

I would love a Fantastic Four game in the future, but honestly the most practical game to make going forward is Deadpool. Hire Nolan North again as DP. No holds barred. Call it a day. Slam dunk win.

The game presence at D23 this year was fairly minuscule. There was close to nothing outside of the Fortnite stuff and the panel on Epic Mickey Rebrushed.

Or you know, you could just work out a deal and do a remastered version of High Moon Studios Deadpool game, which while it wasn't a huge hit is well-liked. Plus it would capitalize on the popularity of Deadpool & Wolverine since both characters are in the game.

Here's the problem. A Deadpool game, especially a good one, will take years to make. The Deadpool game from years back is awesome and just sitting on a shelf collecting dust now. A remastered version would take not nearly as long to do.

I'd be down for that, I love that game personally. Funny enough about 10 years ago another studio I would have pegged perfect for making a great Deadpool game was Insomniac (about the time Sunset Overdrive was released). I believe based on the recent leaks, Insomniac have the exclusive X- Men gaming rights until 2035. I'm not sure if DP is wrapped up in this deal like the film rights were, but if they are I don't know if a remaster would fall under the legal framework of this deal.

I feel like Disney could make a deal happen to remake or remaster the old game if they really wanted to. Epic Mickey is about to get a high-quality remake this year as Epic Mickey Rebrushed. I think Marvel fans like yourself would very much like to have a remastered version of the old game.

I'd be totally down for a brand-new game from Insomniac as well. The problem is that if you make a multi-million dollar triple-A game like that, it's going to take years to complete. Deadpool & Wolverine will be a distant memory by that time. I think if we really want to capitalize on Deadpool & Wolverine's success right now, we need something that's already done and available. The best choice would be a re-release of 2013 Deadpool.

The main issue would probably be does Activision hold any rights to that game still?

Both the wolverine and the deadpool game, are sold at very high prices on Ebay etc thanks to the movie.
So it shows there is a interest in those to be remastered.

Not sure how hard a Deadpool game is to make.
You gotta hit the tone in terms of writing, gameplay wise i think something like Devil May Cry would work.
But it would take time.
Time they would have had between deadpool 2 and now 3.
Again its such a oversight imo to not prepare a new game for a highly liked franchise, you could have released around the same time the new movie came out and used its momentum.

The older Deadpool game came out two console generations ago. It was I believe announced in 2012 and came out about a year later. It's a relatively simple action platform game with run and gun and melee combat. It's not like a huge long open world game. But it does capture like that irreverent essence of the Deadpool character.

I'm sure if you wanted, you could do like a cheap quick and dirty arcade style Deadpool beat 'em up. It could even be 2D and done like say The Punisher arcade game, and I bet it would still be a lot of fun.

But I think the quickest and easiest way to capitalize on the renewed popularity of Deadpool right now is re-releasing the 2013 game.

The Iron Man game should be a no brainer. As you progress you upgrade your suit and tech etc.

I thought the IM gameplay in the Avengers game was pretty good as well.
