Things I want to see from an Avengers game...

Avengers who aren't just MCU Stunt Doubles.

No Inhumans or Inhuman based storyline.

Single player only.

Avengers Mansion, which I have always preferred over Avengers Tower or that bland compound from the movies.

I want the Insomniac 2018 Spider-Man treatment for the Avengers. Not whatever Crystal Dynamics was trying to do with its narrative. I want the definitive Avengers game.

A proper Iron Man videogame that is good and doesn't require a VR headset, should have came out like 10 years ago. And I can say that to Captain America, Thor, Dr. Strange, etc basically anyone who had a successful movie in the 2010s.

Its weird, how Spider-Man 2018 set the standards for Marvel videogames, but in pop culture, Marvel movies were in their peak at that time (2012-2019). Not a lot of gaming studios/Marvel took advantage of the Marvel hype in those years and deliver a solid game. The potential for Avengers 2020 was there but it wasn't good enough. Guardians 2021 was good but the sales weren't. I guess playing as Star-Lord isn't appealing enough. So that just leaves Sony with Spider-Man. I pray to God, when we are all much older from now, that if they are still planning that X-Men game, that it would be great when it comes out. Its hard to anticipate about a Marvel game that isn't Spider-Man.

I also hope the game for Blade and Wolverine end up great. Two Marvel characters (other than Spidey) who were leading comic book movies in the early 2000s to headlining critically acclaimed games in the late 2020s... that would be wild.

I don't feel any hype for Rise of Hydra because I don't get this Captain America/Black Panther that isn't T'Challa team up. Why can't it be just Captain America fighting off Hydra. Why include T'Challa's dad in it? I'm confused what they are trying to do with the game. And there's also another Black Panther game that finally has T'Challa which I can't get excited about because this Hydra game still has to come out first.
