Where the Wild Things are.

Great Trailer however is it just me or did they change the voice of the Main Wild thing?

Not sure but I do know that I wish they hadn't recorded their voices so straightforward. These 'Wild Things' should have some menace and deep sound to their voice(at least some of them) but all I'm hearing is Tony Soprano. I understand the book wasn't that long and to make a film you have to put in a ton of filler but something about this film is rubbing me the wrong way. I think it will be great as a film but so so as an adaptation.

He sounds abit deeper and raspier in the teaser, but its clearly the same voice.

Figs they used the same song! haha jk. You did hear some of Karen O's score in the beginning and it sounded really good.

They did mesh the CG very well with the man in suits. The faces are way too articulated to be animatronic. The lips move in sync and form the actual sounds with what they're saying and everythang.

It would have been hilarious if one of the voices were Paulie Walnuts.

Loved the new trailer. I need to read the book again!

The vocals weren't as refined either. Acoustic version it seems.

LOL The Funniest Part of that Trailer

I HATE THIS TREE Bam OW

Well he just wants attention LOL.

I have never seen my little 9 year old nephew as happy and excited after watching a trailer until he watched this new one.

Where the Wild Things Are isn’t just a film adaptation of the kid’s story, it’s also being novelized! And according to an interview with screenwriter Dave Eggers in The New Yorker, his novelization of the film is only loosely based on the film’s script, to the extent that director Spike Jonze was surprised by some parts of the novel when he first read it. I don’t know if that increases or decreases the odds that the finished film is as good as the trailers have looked. It raises the question though of whom exactly the target audience is for a novel loosely based on a film loosely based on a children’s story? Is this a hipster thing? I think it’s a hipster thing.

Obviously from the trailer alone you can tell he added in a lot of stuff that wasn't in the book since the book was a short read. Like I don't recall ever seeing in the book the 'Wild Things' throw each other around doing silly spins as well as making trees explode with their fists. One thing I hope he kept in the film which was in the book a lot, are the night scenes in the jungle/forest.
