I've never even read the book, but somehow it still really reminds me of my childhood. Despite not having read the book, I still think this looks awesome... I'm betting it'll be my favorite of the year.

It was my favorite book as a child with Bunnicula ata close second. I don't see how you couldnt like it. Its just a great kid story.

I think the sense of wonder it conveys is really the same as what you feel as a child. You may not have had it about the book, but you could have had it about Star Wars, or dinosaurs, or airplanes, etc.

Yeah, I think you nailed it. It just seems magical, like alot of things from childhood. I haven't decided if I should read the book before or after... so I can go into it fresh.

this is an 8 page article and it's amazing. It's about Spike's journey with the movie, and how he fought the Hollywood system. Not to say WB are the bad guys here because they hired Spike because they had sucess with Nolan and Cuaron with Batman and Harry Potter respectively.
