Where the Wild Things are.

"HBO First Look" is going to have a "Where the Wild Things Are" episode on October 6th. I'll be watching.

I just watched the latest trailer attached to "9"

Absolutely AMAZING!

I felt like I was a toddler again flipping through those heavy stock pages of that wonderful book. I was in awe the whole time. I can not wait to see this movie.

Just incredible.

I really like the soundtrack for this. Karen O did a great job.

I wonder when they're going to start putting out the little boy's outfit in costume shops or have they begun that already? I haven't seen anything yet.

What is the song that plays with one of the TV spots with everyone in the group singing?

By the way I just bought the soundtrack and it's glorious.

Karen O is a goddess.

Reviews are fantastic so far. I want them to be accurate in the worst way.

Saw a sweet calendar at the mall... I wanna get it just for the pictures.

Sampling the soundtrack on Amazon, I need to get this.

Based on one of the most famous children's books...look the book up, I'm sure you've at least SEEN the cover somewhere if not already read it.

Book on the making of the movie.

Seriously?

may be a shocker, but not everyone's read the book. I've seen pictures of the creature here and there in the past, but I'm not gonna lie, I have no clue what it's about either and would like to know

The book tells the story of Max, who one evening plays around his home, "making mischief" in a wolf costume by chasing the dog with a fork and growling at his mother. As punishment, his mother sends him to bed without supper. In his room, a mysterious, wild forest grows out of his imagination, and Max journeys to the land of the Wild Things. The Wild Things are fearsome-looking monsters, but Max conquers them "by staring into their yellow eyes without blinking once", and he is made "the King of all Wild Things". However, he soon finds himself lonely and homesick, and he returns home to his bedroom, where he finds his supper waiting for him, still hot.

so he's not actually traveling to a mystical world, where these creatures exist? It's just all in his imagination the whole time?

Purely his imagination. The book is small so alot has been added Im sure, I mean small as in all of ten sentences long with pictures.

The book is literally a work of art I highly suggest flipping through it sometime in a book store.

I just watched those clips. I am absolutely mesmerized by the way the Wild Things look. This film is going to be jaw dropping!

Is it worth buying before seeing the movie? I always have trouble listening to a soundtrack if I don't know what's going on during the music. I might see if Target has it, their CDs are always cheaper than anywhere else.
