I know a lot of people are upset about Cyclops in this movie, but I feel like he was in the movie all along, just played by Hugh Jackman. So I want to know, where was Wolverine in the film? You know, the badass loner that fans fell in love with. The guy who is not a leading man but more of a scene stealer. That guy has been long absent from the X-films. Instead we get Cyclops in Wolverine's clothing.

I'm upset about Scott's death, but in the context of the story, it worked I guess. I just hated the ending with Logan "saving" Jean. Besides that being Scott's rightful job, the whole thing was just so melodramatic it was laughable. Like, I was literally laughing during that scene.

With that said, I think Wolverine fans have right to be upset too, because Wolverine really wasn't even in the film at all. Wolverine doesn't give "inspirational" speeches, he doesn't cry TWICE in a film and surely DOES NOT LEAD THE X-MEN. They completely lost touch with what made his character so cool in the first place. The Dirty Harry demeanor, the mysterious past, all that stuff.

Maybe Kinberg was right when he said Cyke fans wouldn't be disappointed. He was there the whole time, just as Wolverine...

You're right he was, a lot of people have noted this already.

I guess thats what the "He tamed you" thing was about, Im sure he'll be back to norm in X4

Yeah... I hope he will go to normal soon.

well i don't know about going back to loner, but tradgic hero no

i would like his transition to end like in TAS, where he is there, a member of the team, would kill for any of them, but still has to do things by himself every once in a while

Exactly. That's the Wolverine that everyone loves. And, quite frankly, that Wolverine would be a greater asset to the film than what we got in X3.

After watching Hugh Jackman get punk'd, and watching several of his interviews, I've come to like the man. He seems to be a great guy. But, I'm getting tired of his Wolverine character not being the true Wolverine. I don't care if the movie-verse is different than the comic-verse, there's gotta be a line drawn somewhere.
