Wolverine should be searching for Gambit!

But when wolverine got shot at the end of Wolverine he of course lost his memory. Gambit is there telling Wolverine that thet need to get going and stuff, but then Wolverine says he'll go his own way.

Well maybe Wolverine is in shock or something, but later in Wolverines life (X-Men 1-3) Wolverine is trying to figure out who he is and where he comes from.

Shouldn't Wolverine try to seek out Gambit since it seemed like Gambit knew who he was? Shouldn't he tell Xavior to read his mind and figure out who that mutant was?

(I know they didn't have this story made at the time Xmen but just something to think about.

If they made an Xmen 4 could this be a way to add Gambit to the story?

I think that Gambit Should steal something from The X-mansion and Logan Catches him. And then Gambit remembers him and Wolverine asks him how does he know him? Or something like that if they ever make a X4.

Other then the fact that Gambit would be older then all the X-men that would be a great way to add Gambit.

Actually I get why he let gambit go, he couldn't trust him. no one ever trusts gambit.
He should look for him though but even then Gambit doesn't know his entire history.
They could do this and not have it contradict everything , me thinks.

Hey I like that idea, actually! What if we add a little something, like Wolverine goes find Gambit, and tells Rogue to go with him? Um? Yeah, i like it that way better t:
(I know, I know, Anna Paquin wasn't the best choice for Rogue, but it'd be interesting to see what happens. Or maybe they could cast another Rogue. Or maybe I should stop imagining things).

Actually, as much as I'd like to love the idea, it doesn't work for me.
They'd just met so Gambit didn't know much about him. All Gambit knows is that Logan was out for revenge
and stuff. Not specifically anything about him, like how he was betrayed by Kayla and all that stuff.
I don't think there'd be much point if Logan searched for him, you know?

I just got back from seeing the movie again a while ago, so I'm pretty happy right now.

So wolverine finds Gambit. And then what? Gambit can't tell wolverine anything except the island adventures. He doesn't know why wolverine did the things he did. All he could tell him is he saved the day and killed some people. Wolverine is back to square 1.

However, it would be an interesting way to bring Gambit back at least.

well, he must have seen him on his way out of 3 mile island because he got his jacket back.
After all he stays with silverfox for like 1 more minute and runs, Gambit shouldn't have been too far at that point. a plothole? yeah, maybe, but I'd like to think Gambit saw him and gave him his jacket back.

Wolverine doesn't care about his past anymore. He's a new person in the new trilogy and left the past behind him at the end of X2. If Gambit comes back I doubt he'll even remember him.

I think he'll remember him, after all, he's the first person he sees.

Yeah, Wolverine's story in X2 was all about him forgetting his past life and accepting his life with the X-Men. And Gambit isn't going to be able to give that many details about Logan's past anyway.

Not to mention that Gambit is 43 years old by the time X-2 rolls around...so if he were to ever appear in normal continuity, even in the next film, he should be about 50 years old, requiring a different actor.
