Iron Man Where will Iron man fall?

This is a prediction thread. Where will Iron man fall, by fall I mean:

C.I.N.O bad-----fantastic four-----daredevil-------xmen3-----ghost rider------xmen------spiderman2-------x2-------spiderman

Where will it fall in line? Is it going to go the route of GR where it looks decent but "jesus what bad acting" or "so emo/goths from highschool are devils now?" Or will it hit Spidermans blend of action/crapmance/good action scenes?

Well I think it'll be better than SM2, not as good as X2. Altho am willing to be surprised.

My opinion is that it'll jump to the head of the pack, at Spidey's quality level. From what TPTB are saying, this is going to be one of the first Marvel films where we see the hero fighting for the world, not just New York or for Mutants everywhere. Global implications, global scale. Add to that the almost legendary cast and amazingly talented crew... and this is gonna hit big, and could be a major step up for the "comic book" movie genre. I'm thinking 'epic' here.

But, I'm biased.

Believe me you non believers but Iron Man is going to be the next huuuuuuuuuuge comic book movie not just a Marvel movie but a huge spiderman type movie. General people when they see it will become fans of the character and other fans of other characters would switch over just like they did when the first spiderman movie came out. This has everything that will appeal to the masses that spiderman had which is vfx, love story and a cool villain. And also on a last note its Paramount studios behind this movie they hardly ever had a flop with a movie like Iron Man. It might not make spidey numbers but I predict its going to have a huge OW around 80 - 90 M and a domestic run of about 300M at least. When people get to know who IM is they will come back for seconds and thats where the spidey numbers will be possible.

If im not mistaken the same guy directing this did zathura which I thought was a good movie (even if it was aimed at kids). It had humor and some good F/X scenes with nice dialogue so if Iron man follows the same way id be willing to bet Iron man takes the crown as best super hero movie.

I think it's a bit early to ask this question , especially with Spider Man 3, Fantastic 4 2 and 300 still to come before Iron Man, I hope it will take it's place among the top comic films, but they haven't filmed anything yet, I'll be happy to speculate in about 7 months.

What does it matter where it falls, based on how well Ghost Rider is doing, you fools will be out in droves regardless for Iron Man?

Based solely on the imdb scores for his previous movies, I would say somewhere between the first two blade movies and X3 (Which, yes, is definitely better than Ghost Rider). In other words: Good, but not great, at least not enough to put it in the top tier of Superhero movies.

Around 6.5-7.0

I'm guessing it'll be better than any other Marvel movie that's not Spider-Man or X-Men (except X-Men 3, it'll be better than that). Of course, that's not to say it might not be better than those movies, just that it'll at least surpass all of Marvel's other crap.

Well RDJ is probably the best actor to star in a comic book movie, as his charisma on-screen will make Stark come to life perfectly. Jeff Bridges on board also means some massive clout!

I think this film could be better than most expect!

The recent slate of Marvel movies breaks down as listed above. I've yet to see Ghost Rider. I think Iron Man will be on par with Spider-Man 1, maybe a little better becuase they can make the Iron Man origin more interesting. I have extremely high hopes for this film. I love all the people invovled with it. Maybe I'm easy but most of the Marvel movies have been at least decent. Elektra was bad (although the opening scene was sweet) and the Hulk was good but just too heavy handed. I can't seem to get up the desire to watch it again.

Being a life long Iron Man fan, I have high hopes for the movie, I believe that Spider Man is the movie that all other Marvel films and comic films in general are judged, so my hope is that Iron Man can be as good as Spider Man, but my heart say's better than X2, but not as good as Spider Man.

Its close but I give the edge to GR. When I walked out I wasnt nearly as pissed then when I saw the BS that was X3.
