Sequels Which Actors would actually return for X4?

I personally believe First Class will be a Trilogy and X4 will never happen... due to cast/money etc.

But I was just thinking who would actually return out of the original cast for X4.

Hugh Jackman: Probably will do a Wolverine 3, Maybe return for X4

Halle Berry: She has always been a problem, so probs not.

Sir Patrick Stewart: I believe he wants to move on. Plus he's too old.

Sir Ian Mckellen: Same as above.

James Marsden: Not Likely.

Kelsey Grammer: Not Likely.

Anna Paquin: She wasn't happy with Rogue's portrail in X3 and shes having success as a vampire.

Shawn Ashmore: Probs would return.

Ellen Page: Had to be persuaded to do X3, Plus she not interested in blockbuster films, so unlikely.

Ben Foster: Probably.

Daniel Cudmore: Maybe

Famke Janssen: Character's dead, plus she wasnt happy with X3.

Rebecca Romijn: No Return.

Aaron Stanford: Probably.


That only leaves 5 out of 14. Without the big hitters, I dont think they have enough to go on.

I prefer that Jackman, Stewart and McKellen come back in some sort of cameo to introduce younger mutants without having to resort to the First Class reboot and also to bring to a closure the cliffhanger in X3.

Hugh Jackman might, although I'd rather he didn't. That'd make 6 movies where Wolverine is the focus.

Halle Berry said she'd be up for it while accepting her People's Choice Award for Storm. She told everyone to write to Tom Rothman to make an X4. Halle has been out of the limelight for a few years due to motherhood, so she'll probably be cheaper.

Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart have said they want to explore Xavier and Magneto further, so they probably would.

Ellen Page's career is on the rise, and I don't think she's too keen on big summer popcorn flicks.

Anna Paquin would if she wasn't busy with True Blood.

Shawn Ashmore and Aaron Stanford haven't really done anything big since X3, so they'd probably return.

Daniel Cudmore probably would.

Kelsey Grammer i'm not sure on. Would he be up for all that make-up again?

The rest of the characters are dead, so unlikely.

Halle said she wanted fans to petition for an X4. The only problem is she probably assumed Singer was gone from the franchise for good and it sounds like Singer would be back if they do an X4. I don't think she'll come back if he's directing.

Patrick Stewart said he really likes Xavier as a character and that he was willing to play him again back when X3 was coming out. I think if X4 was being made he would come back. Stewart said he loved working with McKellen so if Stewart is willing to come back then perhaps McKellen would as well.

James Marsden followed Singer to Superman Returns so if Singer works on X4 I think Marsden would come back. The only question is if there would be a role for Marsden to play.

Ellen definitely isn't coming back but she was a recast anyway. She can be recast again and be the only film character aside from John Connor to be played by a different actor in every single movie. Anna Paquin might turn it down but it may depend on how Rogue is portrayed.

Alan Cumming probably won't return either because from what I heard he really hated the makeup process for Nightcrawler.

Singer never really 'got' Storm in X1 and X2. Storm wasn't part of the main storylines either, so if Halle didn't win an Oscar and push more Storm would have probably just been a background character in X2.

Halle was happier with the Storm in X3 because she got to fly, became a leader and generally did more. It's been 7 years since X2 though. I'm sure they'll settle any issues if there are any.

Didn't she also spread nasty rumors about him? I remember reading stories of her saying he brought kids to his trailer and you can guess the rest from there.

If theres one person who would mos def not come back Im glad it's her. I never liked her in the movies anyway, and she never felt like much of a team player acting wise.

Yeah, I wouldn't miss Halle either. I don't like her as an actress and I didn't like any of her three interpretations of Storm (Passive X1 Storm, Compromise X2 Storm, Halle Berry with a Wig in X3).

Not to mention anyone who was willing to give up X-Men to do a continuation of that Catwoman film doesn't have my support.

not sure about Hugh because he said he would do wolverine as long as people still want to see him

Famke/Marsden/Ashmore/Halle/ really haven't done much since the x films

You can't really speak for the actors. They had all returned for two sequels so there is a possibility that they will return for the fourth one if it's to be made.

Patrick Stewart even did a cameo at the end of Wolverine.

As far as I know, True Blood season 3 started filming in December and it will be out in June, so Anna Paquin has at least 6 months do film whatever she wants.

Everyone else hasn't really done anything.

X-Men movies are big so I doubt the actors will pass up the role.

I think they would do something like Ghost where they establish it's a different body and but then cut to show Stewart is in there. If they get Stewart back they'll find a way to give him screen time.

the only characters I can see returning is Storm, Logan, Iceman, Colossus(if he has a good role), and Beast, they may have to recast Kitty/Rogue

I feel as Prof. X, Magneto, Mystique stories have been told and are done, so let them be...Cycke/jean are dead and reunited in the afterlife!

Hugh Jackman is Wolverine and if he is in x4 then Hugh will be in X4 but i figure they will want to move away from him being in the future franchises.

James Marsden has been pretty busy since x3, securing him would be difficult but it all depends on how much they want to pay him and the role.

Famke Janseen - currently re-occuring in Nip/Tuck - she is a fan of her own character but i dont think they will bring back the character.

Halle Berry - has not been in much since X3 - and the fact that her character is now head of the school - she will be back. She was the one that moaned her character didnt have enough screen time. So she will be there... its not like catwomen worked out for her.

Sir Patrick Stewart - because of the prequels he doesnt feel he will return but i think the studios would want him and de-age him to bits. So he would be a Pending... certain things happen but he would probably return.

Sir Ian McKellan - i dont think he will, Magneto was like the ultimate piece for him other than gandolf... Magnetos character has appeared, developed and had his war. theres nothing creatively left unless you had Magneto lead the x-men. And even then i dont know if he would return.

Anna Paquin - too busy with True Blood... So no

Kelsey Grammer - probably - although he didnt like the hours of make-up he loved playing that role. whish alan cumming had the same enthusaim.

Rebecca Romijn - well no possibility of her returning to ugly betty now the show is ending. So possible, but maybe as Raven Darkholme

Shawn Ashmore - guessing yes because i havent seen him in much since.

Aaron Stanford - all depends on if his character returns... possible if brotherhood return without magneto.

Seriously doubt you get anybody else to come back.

I think Sir Ian is cutting down on his film roles, as he's getting old now. So I think The Hobbit will be his last physically demanding role.
He'll be about 75 if X4 comes out, I dont think Hell return.


Most said they would return in 2006 but I dont think they will in 2014.

Fox loves Wolverine. He's going to be in at least X4, even if it's just for a cameo they can show off in the trailers to mislead the audiences to make them think he has a big role.

Halle has been the most vocal about doing another X-Men film and she is good friends with Jackman so those two would likely come back.

Shawn Ashmore and Daniel Cudmore would come back.

Alan Cumming has changed his tune alot since moaning about the make up for Nightcrawler and has said his willing to play the role again in recent years.
