Are you talking pop culture or personal experience?![]()
the 90's and it is not even close...90's. Everything after they ended became so damn depressing.
The 2000s sucked for me.
College was an awful experience. I never really fit in.
My mother died of lung cancer after she said things to me that I cant repeat here.
I was diagnosed as manic depressive.
I was diagnosed as having hyperlipidemia.
After graduation I was stuck in a dead end job for the rest of the decade.
The recession.
9-11.
The Iraq War.
Hurricane Katrina.
The biggest American crisis of the 00's was 9/11. The biggest American crisis of the 90's was Bill Clinton getting a BJ.
Even second-tier crises of the 00s like Hurricane Katrina and the Lehman brothers financial collapse of '08 were infinitely worse than anything that happened in the 90's.
At least for America, the 00's were an infinitely more depressing, tumultuous and crappy time and we're still feeling its ripples of crappiness.
The 90's were such simpler times. oh how I miss it.
I'm 25. The 90's feel like a weird past life.
Some of us are still recovering from that last one in some respects.I admit, we shouldnt get too nostalgic for the 90s either. We had to deal with the Rodney King verdict, the OJ Simpson trial, the Oklahoma City bombing and Pauly Shore.
