Which one got you more excited for the movie, the Prologue (+sizzle reel), or trailer 2 ??

The trailer. Easily.

This doesn't need it's own thread. But personally, the prologue upon reflection. Though I'm proud of trailer 2, to say the least.

hm.. good question... I'll go with fishsticks & custard!

Trailer 2 gets my vote, although the sizzle reel from the prologue was great... as for the prologue itself it was all right, but it didnt do much for me tbh :csad:

I cant answer that cause I havent seen either!

links to both please

In hindsight, I think the sizzle reel did a better job getting me excited for the movie than the Prologue did (not that the Prologue didn't do a good job). Additionally, I may have enjoyed the sizzle reel more than the trailer, especially with the really brief shots (+ CATWOMAN !!)

I also feel that the new trailer will often be compared to the 2nd TDK trailer which did a good job getting people excited for the Joker. The new TDKR trailer is not as villain-focused, but it did a good job teasing us to the plot, the set pieces, and the characterizations of Bruce and Selina. I didnt feel that the trailer did much to sell Bane though.

I found the sizzle reel more "exciting". The second trailer surprised me, though... it had narrative, which is something I appreciate, but I'm not especially thirsty for until closer to the film. Scenes in the trailer looked kind of cool, and how it illuminated the story and the grim feel of the film was great, but the sizzle reel was just a plethora of ****-worthy scenes which is what I've been anticipating for a while. That was just "Batman's back, and better than ever!"

I'm super hyped for the trailer, but I have to stick with the prologue as the one I enjoyed more.

I've only seen the trailer, so I guess that one.

I prefer the prologue over the trailer for a few reasons. But, I enjoy them equally, for different reasons.

The Prologue

First, and foremost, this was about Bane. It was awesome seeing him in action. While the reveal - and any other ones - will be unable to top the Joker's in The Dark Knight, I enjoyed it the same. Bane's response is terrific and the look he shoots Dr. Pavel is chilling. I also enjoyed it because Bane's tactics are an inversion of Batman's take on Skyhook. In addition, I enjoyed the score more than in The Dark Knight's prologue. My preference; I am not informed enough to comment on the sonic qualities.
(a) The Sizzle Reel
It had a nice selection of images throughout the film, and it was neat to see Selina and Catwoman (and gloriously confirming the set reports -- and hopefully, the Scarecrow's presence, as it was from the same source,) and the shot of the police storming was impressive on the IMAX screen.
Trailer 2
I enjoyed how the trailer was about Bruce Wayne's world. Selina's dialogue was great, and I enjoyed the nod to Batman Returns. I am very curious about the subplot involving Gordon, as evidenced by the dialogue concerning the "war hero" status. In addition, I was happy to see Ms. Cotillard as Miranda Tate, even though she did not have a speaking role. Bummer. But, this complaint is petty, as I enjoyed both presentations, as they achieved their distinct portrait of the two costumed powers in the film.

I liked trailer 2 more, raises so many questions!

What happened to my "Prologue, for me" post?

I was proud of that one too.

Almost the entire sizzle reel was in the trailer apart from the shot of Batman speeding on Bat-Pod, Kyle going to jail, Catwoman at prison cell, and a quick overhead shot of the police running forward to take on mercs.

As someone already stated, I feel like the prologue was great but the trailer is really what put any concerns I had about this movie to bed.

Bane sounds/looks great.

I'm of the opinion that Anne is not attractive in half of her appearances and absolutely stunning in the other half. She looks incredible in the trailer.

Bane knows Bruce is Batman.

All I hoped for. Voted trailer

(Still, the "crashing this plane" followed by score part of the prologue gave me chills)

Actually, the sizzle reel also had what IMO was a better looking shot of Batman hitting Bane, a better looking shot of Batman with his new gadget, it had the broken cowl shot in the sewers, a badass shot of Bane denotating some explosives, Bane slowly strolling with his hands gripped to his trenchcoat (like a boss), what you mentioned, and it was also preceded by the amazing prologue sequence. Overall I was excited more by what I saw there than the trailer, sorry.

...for me trailer #2 is more of a teaser trailer than a full trailer...and that's fine with me. they avoided release a trailer a la TDK, with full one liners from the joker, here' you work with so little, yet it look awesome. I absolutely love the prologue.

for me is a tie :)
