Which do you prefer..blackest night or dark reign/seige

As above...for me its dark reign,blackest night is ok but it seems fractured and a little bit dragged on.Nothing really exciting has happened...and i wouldve said superman instills more hope than barry allen too!

Well Dark Reign is a status quo so you're comparing all the comics of 2009 to an DC event. @_@

I'm going to say Blackest Night simply because it's bringing big impact and hey i love zombies. I really enjoy Dark Avengers and most of the minis have been downright awesome, still i just find the comparison silly.

Tell that to Marvel. Even they were calling it an event for a little bit. I'm enjoying Dark Reign. Blackest Night, like Flash: Rebirth and Secret Invasion before it, is not doing it for me.

Blackest Night feels kind of predictable to me, with a lot of treading of water going on. I dropped the main series with #5, and from what I've read of #6, I'm glad I did so.

Dark Reign, however, I've been exposed to only in the form of the titles I read regularly that it's happened to crossover into. I haven't bothered with any of the minis or new series spinning out of it. From that little exposure, I've found it to be decent, but not really on the level of a full-scale event.

I'm more interested in Siege than anything, but with it just getting rolling, I don't think it's fair to compare it to Blackest Night.

So at this point, neither.

To me it's a tie right now. Dark Reign is showing Doom, Loki, and so many plot angles at their best. Not to mention Norman Osbourne about to lose it and the unpredictability of the Sentry, it's shaping up well. Did I mention the big 3 coming back together, just in time for the movie but whatever. It's been great. But Blackest Night has been awesome and though there were some cracks in the story, I'm enjoyin it anyway but it's just a tie at this point.

I never thought of dark reign as staus quo..with it having a name its kinda just though of as event.
i think the best thing to come out of blackest night is luthor as the orange lantern...he is total perfect for the role!!
blackest night is also kinda the status quo for dc too right now as it has been going on a while and has intertwined most stories.

dont know what to think of batmans return story tho..
