Which is the better Black Panther costume?

Both look good so that's great.

I'd say I prefer the mask of the new suit. The old suit seems bulkier and more ceremonial. Honestly I feel this is going to be the new Iron Man. Each film he get's a new design.

The more I see of the new suit, the more I like it. It's not 100% perfect, but it's a good adaptation of the comic costume and it's so much better than the overdesigned garbage that T'Challa wore in CW.

2018. It seems much more real / better designed. I guess that's what a two year difference will cause. I like both suits though, I just prefer what I've seen of the 2018 version more.

I think people voted on this poll too early, there were votes before the HD shots of the new suit were even shown. That said, I love both suits, but the new one just screams Black Panther to me.

The one thing the new suit has goin for it are them sweet purple accents
But idk, all the shots of the new suit look like rubbery cgi, whereas civil war he looked real and tactile

After watching CW again, I’m not as ensnared with the old suit as I once was. It’s still better than the new one (IMO), but it is a tad overdesigned, as well as being a little too bulky for my tastes. I’d have like to see them improve on that design, rather than start fresh with the one we have now. Oh well.

I would consider the new suit an improvement over the CW design instead of a fresh start. Way too many similarities to call it a completely new design/attempt.

Of course they’re similar; they pull from the same source. But the differences are pretty major.

I like the extra body design of the 2016, but I do like the more longer spike necklace, gauntlet and **** boots of the new 2018.

speaking of BP costume, it's ironic that his costume was actually light "blue" in his Marvel comics, instead of jet black (as we see with Venom, Black Cat, etc) I wonder what lead to the decision to start him out with
a light blue costume instead of jet-black

The color printing technology wasn't great. Blue highlights made it easier to interpret light and dark on black costumes. So they used blue color.

In certain shots, the newer suit's texture looked like shiny pajamas, especially around the neck & collarbone area. CW by a mile, but the new suit will do.

I like the one from Civil War. It could also be that the CGI in Black Panther himself this time around was a bit more cartoony. Those purple details didn't help. I prefer the full black version.

T'Chaka's was dope. Loved the unique flair it had; you could see the DNA in it from the CW suit.

The new one is more accurate to the comic book. However, the CW one looks less CG and the new one reminds me of Tron and it really shouldn’t. 2016 has a better mask and the nose on the new one is really distracting, and annoys me.

Having just finished watching BP I still prefer the look of the CW suit hands down. That said the BP suit looks pretty good when charged up with energy

Loved it. I’d watch a whole movie of young T’Chaka running around in that thing.

And now that I’ve seen BP I can conclusively say: CW suit > new suit.
