opinions welcome, try to keep it open to all category of heroes and villains or even certain members of affiliations, (or a whole group itself if you want).

thanks

do you mean story wise or power wise?

or do you mean benefit DC?

If that's what you mean than Spiderman. they would have the three biggest heros in the world.

Daredevil, Matt Murdock. Probably half of the **** that happened to him in the last year wouldn't have happened in the pro-vigilante/hero world of the DCU.

The Defenders would rock in the DC universe. They'd dominate practically everyone in the Marvel universe, but DC's got more really, really high-power threats for them to tackle. I can just picture one of those classic, old-school covers with the Defenders punching through a dimensional portal yelling, "One side, Justice League! This looks like a job for the Defenders!" :D

i mean benefit the actual character and development of the chacter rather than the sales of the company

I really don't think any character would benefit from a transfer to DC just like no DC character would benefit from a transfer to Marvel. Their worlds are just too different.

you really don't think a simple change in something as simple as a rogue's gallery would benefit any single individual hero, group or villain?

I came to the same conclusion but feel the opposite about that bold part. I don't see any need to move any character to the opposite universe because the same stuff exists in both universes. You just have to look in various places. A GL would feel right at home with the Xandarian Nova Corps, Superman would probably become as much of a staple to the Avengers as Cap is (before NA, when their reputation was still intact), Batman can skulk about in pretty much any urban area at night, the Punisher can find crooks to kill all over Gotham or Bludhaven, etc. Hell, even their far-flung, weird comics have counterparts to each other. The Science Police would probably deputize the Guardians of the Galaxy and have them run interference on those pesky Legion kids. ;)

Looking at it from the perspective of "what would the character gain" (as opposed to what would the readers gain), maybe Dr. Doom. Imagine what he could accomplish on a world where none of the heroes know anything about him. Of course, he'd have to give up the resources of Latveria -- but I don't think Doom would have any trouble rebuilding his power base.

As far as what would benefit the readers most, I don't think it matters what universe the characters are in, as long as there's a good creative team behind them.

I'd say Spider-Man for two reasons, (So long as he can bring his family), DCU is friendlier toward Super-Heroes, so he'd have an easier time of things without Jameson on his butt. and he could leave behind his rogues gallery and start anew (C'mon, are you saying he wouldn't want to leave GG behind).

plus Peter would do well because he is used to duking it out with beings that are more powerful he is, physically, energy, and occasionally even mentally.

in that case, where would you relocate him to in the dc universe.

true, this is a good point but i was just wondering how the interaction with new beings in a new world and new threats may actually perhaps help give more depth to a character.
