Comics have evolved. But have the evolved for the better or for the worst? I know alot of people, like myself, enjoy alot of the older comics alot ore then I enjoy some of the new stuff.

I love the new stuff!

But my personal favorite era of Marvel is the 60's.

Lee...Kirby...Ditko= Marvel's Holy Trinity. :up:

Yes!! Someone finally responded instead of just voting. Presonally I like the late 1970's and the late 1980's.

I'm not quit old enough to comment on the sixties. I have a few early 70's comics and they're quite good but late seventies and early 80's are the best in my opinion. I like a lot of the artists from the late 80's to now but as a whole the comics aren't as good.

Late seventies early eighties for me :up:

I can't stand alot of dialog from that far back.

Can't really comment on which era was "better" considering I was born in the late 80s.

For me the real changes didn't start to be significant until sometime in the 80's. Before that it all has much the same atmosphere although there were changes over the years. The real changes at Marvel seemed to begin with the introduction of the second X-Men team.

I disagree. I'd say the real changes at Marvel, and really even the entire Industry, as far as status quos and the like go, began with the Death Of Gwen Stacy, which pre-dates Giant Size X-Men #1 by about two years.

comics are comics. i'll pretty much read anything as long as i'm into the characters.

I personally like the 90's, but that could simply be due to the nastalgia of it, as that's when I started reading first. I've liked a lot of the 80's stuff I've read as well but most of the stuff prior to that didn't interest me. The recent stuff I haven't been as much for save for a few things here and there until just recently. Some of the Civil War stuff and things previous to it have sparked my interest, and Annihilation has been probably the best read I've had in years.

Same I like the 80-90's stuff. I did vote 60-70 tho, a lot of great characters were introduced, and it was chock full of good stories. I like the direction some of the new art has taken tho.

yeah the use of photo shop has really made the art sick.

Are you kidding?Civil War is trash compaired to Marvel`s previous eras.I voted for Late 80`s early 90`s,my favorite era.

How dare you diss Civil War like that. Its very entertaining and thats all that matters.
