What would it take for you to cancel Marvel books?

I have a flannel shirt, I wear it once a year during July.

You'd never catch me in flannel.

Well... I take it back. I have a flannel knee length skirt once, but I ditched that idea in a week.

I wear a flannel shirt that one day in Miami in January where it hits like 40.

I wore a jacket to high school every day in Miami during the 3/4-year-long summer there. I learned to tune heat out pretty well, and I still had lots of friends so I'm guessing I didn't sweat enough to smell, either. I was a temperature-regulating badass back then.

Oh, I used to do that all the time, id show up with the same track jacket every day to school. Its wierd, it may be something in the water.

There are other possibilities.

They didn't have good smell receptors.

They're dumb.

You imagined the entire thing due to the heat.

They're kinky.

I favored a snowboarding jacket. Even though I never snowboarded a day in my life, or even saw snow. I just liked that it was blue with a white stripe. I still have it in my closet right now, in fact.

Ah, memories...

Marvel has pushed me to the point in which im only buying 2 comics from it,im mostly buying DC now.X-Men has been ruined for years, and Bendis is messing with the rest.

Ah, another jaded cynic brought to you by the Merry Marvel Money Machine. :)

*Joe Quesada counting a wad of hundreds*

"Huh, what, some dude is complaining on a messageboard, cool hes probably buys more Marvel books than anyone else"

Damn you Joey Q!

I'm very serious when I say this...

I've never been fond of DC books. Here or there maybe, but none with any full run collecting (The only full run I have was All-Star Squadron). Due to Marvel's philosophies, I've really come to appreciate a new companies' books.

That said, I've never given up hope that Marvel would pull their head out. I'm just getting impatient as to WHEN they will. Hopefull, the no-prize thing and the reign pulling on continuity are a step in the right direction.

I do dammit, why else would I GET SO MAD AT STUPID MARVEL DECISIONS?

The opposite of love is not hate, it is indifference.

Truly inspiring words. I think its funny, Marvel seems to admit they have problems but dont make any moves to fix it. I think JMS said in Newsarma that The Other was a "bad idea".

Both he and Quesada admitted that it wasn't a good idea. In a Wizard article they both admitted they weren't handling Spider-Man very well, heh.

If I don't like a book, I drop it. Period. If I bought books according to just liking the characters, I'd be buying every dang book on the shelf 'cause I pretty much like every single character. And that makes no sense, not just financially, but also because a lot of the characters I like could be stuck in stupid books with stupid writers and I see no point in supporting that.

And this all goes for DC as well as Marvel; I didn't buy any Green Arrow for pretty much the entire year before OYL because I couldn't get into it at all.

At least they admit, now they need to fix what they broke.

In that same Wizard article Quesada said they are planning to take Spider-Man back to a Stan Lee-esque Spidey for 2007.

I fail to see how, though Stan Lee did say he wishes he wouldve unmasked Peter.

i like cake.

i would probably cancel if something cheesy happened. like really cheesy or if it got boring. hope that answers da questions. o i mean the. not da

I fail to see that as well. Though the article did say something about JMS and Quesada doing a miniseries together in November that would send him toward that Stan Lee-esque Spider-Man.

It's one of the reasons why many Spider-Man fans started with that "OMG they're going to kill MJ" stuff.

Hmmm, Loeb and Campbell still have that Spidey title nex year. SIAT, ill be frank with you, and you can be tim, but ive never been a big Spidey fan, but im lately becoming a lot more interested in the character after the unmasking.

They admitted it? Well, that's a nice change of pace at least from Quesada's usual "It makes money so it must be good!" spiel and JMS's "People who think Gwen Stacy can't be a **** must be whiny and hate change!" tirades.

As Tim, I have to agree. Ever since he's unmasked all the Spider-Man books have been fantastic. It's exciting to read Spider-Man again.

Plus it's something that goes along with the storyline of Civil War and they've actually built up to this instead of just throwing it out there for people to react to.
