^ I thought you were gonna say strange. I'd like to see a Dr Strange movie too, but didn't they say something along the lines of him being more of a mid-level budget or something? They would have certain charcters they'd spend around 70-80mil on, he being one of them, sure they did.
That is a lot of crap, they should be giving him a 150mil budget the same as Thor and Cap. The movie will be a half asser if they give it a low budget, people are very well versed in what a 'wizard' movie can consist of thanks to Harry Potter, it could easily feel like the an extended pilot ep of a tv show in comparison.
Hell, Thor kind of felt that way a lot of the time at 150mil.
and of course, it should not feel like a Harry Potter film at all, no quirky crap, it has to be the serious, dark tale of a cold, emotionless, egomaniacal Medical Doctor, who loses his skills, and is humbled, who then learns to be somone honourable through his practice of the mystic arts.
It would be so easy for a mid-level budget film of this nature to feel like a 90s superhero film too, like the Shadow, but not even looking that good.
The general audience did not have a clue who Thor was either, that was sold on the trailers and the 'from the makers of Iron-Man' advertising. Just follow the same formula, cast some good looking guy, who does not cost much to hire, in the lead role, a couple of famous people in the supporting cast, and do this for full budget, 150mil. Otherwise it will be a real half assed disapointment.
