Thor....for me personally 2 Thor movies are study character movies, the story about a selfish, arrogant individual who learned humility, humbleness to become a selfless & more responsible individual. More, I also think Thor has been so far the most relatable Marvel movies for me (given in the reality I also struggle to choose between my family's business and other things I'd like & want to do) , that makes Thor's struggle in the movie very relatable to me and makes him special.

I'm in the camp that the MCU is one franchise I can't vote...

so...from one of the other best to worst/list threads I'll list my top two:

It's a tie between the MCU and the X-Films...as much as I love the world of X, I give MCU a slight edge.

Captain America and X-Men but Avengers may become my favorite soon

Man do I agree with you. I know people have problems with those movie because they do not reflect their idea of a Thor movie but I just love how Marvel and Hemsworth developed Thor over the course of three movies. I was talking about Marvel movies with my GF the other day and we agreed that he's the character that probably changed the most of the big 3. Can't wait to see more of him!

For now the X-men as they are finally back on track and the future looks bright but Cap has the chance to round out a really nice trilogy for me if they hit a home run in Civil War, he's a close second. They're the two in form teams for me.

I agree but the thread starter would never allow that to happen.

Nevertheless, if you combine them that's 39 votes for the MCU. Booyah!

X-Men. And honestly, I'm one of the few who would vote for it over the MCU.

Sure the franchise has had a couple of duds, but imo, TIH, Iron Man sequels, Thor 2, and Captain America: TFA were all mediocre.

I gotta say the MCU as a whole. Since it's so intertwined I just count it as one.

Yeah if the poll were set up correctly the MCU would be in the lead with 40, followed by the X-men with 25.

Personally, the Winter Soldier is my favorite but X-Men has the most quality movies out of every franchise. X-Men, X2, First Class and DOFP are good to above. Most others are topping out at 2. If Cap 3 is the same quality of TWS or better, I'd tip it slightly to the Cap series even with only 3 movies.

Captain America 1990 and Captain America: TFA/ TWS are not really the same franchise. If you include the 1990 film with that, it makes the overall "franchise" go down, because of how bad the 1990 movie is, and then you'd have to say that it hasn't been consistently good, and by default you'd have to pick something else.

And if you're going to go by that standard of including the 1990 movie (which wasn't even released in theatres), then you should include the Nicholas Hammond Spider-Man "movies" with the Spider-Man franchise, because those WERE also released in theatres. The feature length episode "The Deadly Dust" was released theatrically as "Spider-Man Strikes Back" and "The Chinese Web" was released as "Spider-Man: The Dragon's Challenge".

And you'd have to put the Roger Corman FF in there as well.
