Hybrid Cars are not viable simply because the infrastructure is not there yet.

I've seen Ford Escapes and Toyota Priuses enter gas stations and fill up without a problem.

Fueling stations are only available in select places at California and it will take a massive effort to dot the landscape with hydrogen stations.

They're expanding to states such as New York, Florida, and Ohio-- to name a few. So it is feasible to launch a nationwide effort to bring hydrogen and natural gas to consumers.

How is drilling off the coastlines destroying our enviroment?

No matter how much you spend on public transportation - it will never replace or even come close to replacing the indepence one has with the car. The car is an American symbol - one of the greatest rights of passage is the day you receive your drivers license. To pretend that better public transportation can replace cars is dangerously naive and reeks of liberal elitisim - vintage Obama .

See how independent you feel when gas reaches five dollars a gallon.
