Maybe i'm a little bit to hyped up with the new movie that i decide to make Routh the best Superman.

But for me he was very good. And if we hopefully will see ALL deleted scenes, maybe then more people will love him als Clark/Kal-el/Superman!

Brandon was good but not good enough to make me ( and many people) forget Chris.

Whereas Chris--IMHO--was great enough to make me forget George Reeves as Number 1 anyway..(Never thought anyone would seriously compete with George as number 1.Chris' portrayal blew me away.)

In fact, I have new respect for all 4 of Chris' Superman films after seeing SR.

Brandon Routh personified the roles of Clark Kent and Superman wonderfully, and I greatly look forward to seeing his performance again in sequels.

However, my vote went to Christopher Reeve. I grew up watching the Superman movies, and he is who I think of when I think of Superman. There are occasions in comic book movies when I truly feel like "Damn, this feels like it was ripped stright from the comic book!" such as when Spidey and Doc Ock face off in Spider-man 2. When Christopher Reeve is on screen, I get that feeling.

What i wanted in the new movie was more bumbling Clark! In Superman IV i think we saw enough bumbling Clark! Especially when Kal-el was 2 minutes Clark and then 2 minutes Superman.

Routh was atrocious as Superman. He was a good Clark and his acting ability overall would probablly be pretty decent, but his Superman was awful.

Christoper Reeve was the best in my opinion. He looked like Superman. It was as if Superman stepped out of a book and onto the movie screen.

That's exactly what I've always thought, although I actually like Routh, he looks like Superman for a movie adaptation, whereas Christopher Reeve looked like he'd actually step out of the comic book and on to the screen.

For me Chris Reeve IS Superman. George Reeves was also great as Superman. They both had Charm & Charisma in the Role. As for Brandon (Im woodin as a stick) Routh. I found nothing amazing about him and in my view dosnt come one inch to being as Great as Chris Reeve or even George Reeves for that matter.

P.s. i wish i could spend all my time steering into a camra and have almost zero Dialog and get paid for it.

I disagree on your worst. Worst was Kirk Allyn.

Im going to defend Dean til my dying breath ---ROFL---because he did a wonderful interpretation. Sometimes the stories were silly..but then there's been silly elements in almost everything filmed--tv and movies.

But Chris Reeve made the most memorable version of Superman.

I haven't seen Kirk Alyn's portrayal of Superman so maybe you're right, but I found Cain's Superman too cocky and sure of himself for my liking. It's ironic because Cain was the first live-action Superman I was exposed to and I ended up loathing his portrayal. His Clark Kent was charming though.

It's a shame you left Kirk Alyn off of the poll....he did a really good job. My personal favorite is Chris Reeve....but I really love to watch the old Kirk serial now and then. Some people complain about the parts where he turns into a cartoon for the flying scenes....but I always found that neat.

this is a tough question because the Superman that I like the least is attached to the Clark I like the best.

Dean Cain is absolutely, hands-down, my all time favourite Clark.

The closest I come to a favourite Superman would probably be Chris from the first two movies followed extremely close by George.

And I have seen Kirk Alyn's portrayal.
