White....Eyelashes??

So i recently turned 22 and the inner half of my eyelashes on my left eye have turned pure white. I've noticed other people, even old people, don't have white eyelashes. What the hell is happening to me?

Friends have told me to see a doctor, and I'm considering it even though I doubt there's some harmful medical reason for it. Basically my main concern is it becoming noticable and embarassing. It's not like a could dye it; I'd basically be stuck looking like some member of the X-men for the rest of my life.

Something in your body probably told those cells to probably stop producing melanin (or whatever pigment protein your eyelashes make), which is why they turned white. I wouldn't be that worried about it, but if it seriously freaks you out, go to the doctor.

And there's plenty of really thin mascaras (weightless volume from neutrogena or whatever the hell the name of it is called) you could use in the interim. That mascara I just mentioned is the one I use, and I have to use like 3 coats of it to make it look like I'm even wearing any, so one coat should help mask the whiteness without making you look like a girl. :P

I used to have a redheaded gf who had super-long eyelashes, but they were red. So she dyed them every few months to save on using mascara.
