The second pic is awesome, straight from one of the best scenes in the book.

I also noticed this.....

MPAA Rating: R for violence, grisly images, brief strong language and some nudity.

Looks like they are sticking close to the tone of the books.

The 2nd volume is a sequel. The movie is based on the first book.

I wouldn't be surprised when this comes out. They've removed at least one quite important character from the film adaptation etc. Maybe I'll still go see this open minded, but Dominic Sena is not exactly a very good director... Kalifornia was ok, I guess...

I read Whiteout and it was okay. I don't really see a film adaption being anything more than rental quality or an FX repeat.
