I like the maniped costume, but not the guy. And there people go again, saying ppl should be given the role just because they look like someone.

Around the time Routh was cast there was talk around here about Singer having another choice, a model, whom they ultimately decided did not have enough acting experience. Does anyone remember this or know anymore about it?

Baffled. He looks WAY different now. I think he'd look better with longer hair (lose the buzzcut), but he's got a pleasing appearance and doesn't look like a naive kid anymore. Nice smile, bright eyes, beefy build. He's very different now than the pictures that were circulated back in '03 and '04. I guess he finally grew up.

Oh well. Fate is a double-edged sword in more ways than one.

Singer watched alot of tapes..but Routh was the only one who tested for singer.

With a few extra pounds, Caviezel would have been excellent. He would have come closest to delivering the nuance and depth that Reeve gave Superman.
In retrospect, however, I'm glad he didn't get the role seeing what an odious turd SR turned out to be.
