As much as I’d hope for Carnage (probably my favorite Marvel villain of all time), I doubt it’ll happen with Sony’s Venom movie on the horizon.

I’d say a more likely prediction would be either Mysterio or Kraven. Both could be done very well, and haven’t been used in movies yet. But if Sony makes spin-offs with them too... all hope is lost.

I would reckon Kraven, as we've not had him on screen yet.

I would like to see the Sinister Six in the third film, and I think the timing is right for Doctor Octopus to return in the next film.

If not him, I think Mysterio or Chameleon would work well in the environment set up in Homecoming.

The key is I'm not sure I want another take on Green Goblin, Doc Oct, Sand Man, The Lizard.

I want the classic villain from Spidey rogue gallery which has not yet to be adapted, such as Mac Gargan, Mysterio, Chameleon, Kraven, and a proper Rhyno would be nice to see.

Scorpion
Mysterio
Kraven

Then a Doc Ock-Green Goblin redux down the line, plus a Sinister Six story with those and Vulture.

Chameleon, Kraven, Hydro, Mysterio, Scorpion.. Just use the villains that haven't been featured in a film.

I've been wanting Mysterio as the villain for so long I hope it happens for the homecoming sequel. It's been way overdue. Plus they've kinda burned through Spidey's villains so not many to choose from now if they want to use never before used villains.

I'd like a criminal king pin :cwink: with an array of B and C list enforcers: Rhino, Shocker, Sandman, Scorpion and the likes.
Make it like a very bad day in Peter's life but save the proper battle royale for a future film with the Sinister Six.

I still think it'll wind up being either Mysterio or Kraven despite the talk of them getting films of their own. They are both really the only classic Spider-Man villains left that have yet to appear in a movie, as well as being able to work as the main villain in a film. I have a feeling that Marvel and Sony will come to an arrangement where Sony lets one of the two appear in Homecoming 2 while the other is reserved for their Spider-Verse.

In which case, I could see Marvel getting Mysterio and Sony getting Kraven. I think Dr. Strange will be get the guest spot next time around since they've been talking about him and Spider-Man becoming friends in IW, and it is easy seeing how he could be involved in the story if Mysterio is the villain. And Kraven seems like he would fit right in with the Black Cat/Silver Sable film.

Besides them, I'll be surprised if the Scorpion doesn't show up. Homecoming already introduced Mac Gargan obviously, and I don't see why they would drag out introducing that character for too much longer.

I doubt we'll ever see Mysterio. How would he work in live action?

Kraven I love, but would he create enough spectacle for the big screen? The most he can do is summon lions and gorillas for Spidey to fight. The Great White Hunter is an old archetype now that today's kids probably aren't even aware of.

Carnage - seems very unlikely. A super-powered serial killer? In a Disney film?

My favourite, Hobgoblin, seems very unlikely as well.

He will be expensive and the technology may not be ready for such a character, but Hydro-man.

If it's gonna be the same tone as Homecoming, Then Hydro-Man.
I don't wanna see the MCU half-ass the best of Spidey's rogue gallery.

1. Mysterio.

2. Kraven the Hunter.

3. Hobgoblin (Roderick Kingsley).

I figure it'll be one of these three:

Kraven
Mysterio
Scorpion (My personal choice)

Either Kraven or Mysterio sound interesting.

A big game hunter who decides to challenge himself by going after a super-hero whose been seen fighting alongside the Avengers? Or a special effects guy seeking to unbalance and gaslight someone?

Either could be interesting when aired up with a younger less-experienced Spider-Man and inject more of a desperate tone than one in which he's a veteran hero.

Kraven for sure. Could tie into Infinity War too. Spidey really wasn't known by the world even after Homecoming but after battling Thanos with the Avengers and GOTG he should become a household name. Kraven the Hunter sees it and decides to go after him.

If it's gonna be the same tone as Homecoming, Then Hydro-Man.
I don't wanna see the MCU half-ass the best of Spidey's rogue gallery.
I can understand people having problems with Homecoming, but the villain?? Come on dude. They took Vulture and made one of the best comic book movie villains ever.

Anyway, my hope is a teamup with Doctor Strange for Mysterio and a teamup with Black Panther for Kraven. That would be very cool.

Ya, I don't agree with that at all.
Keaton put on a good performance but people calling the Vulture one of the best villains of all time, are utterly comical. Great Villains should be bad and not half bad and half good. That's not a villain.

Like, really what did he do to earn that ranking? Where are you coming from with that? Help me to understand even a little bit.

There's an argument to make about Doom and Vader being half good...
Misplaced good intentions make great villains, as was the case with the Vulture.

I agree he is not one of the best villains of all time, but nobody is making the case, people just saying he is one of the best MCU villains.

Vader is a Knight. Thats like being a soldier fighting for your military. He's not a villain at all. He's a soldier who switched sides because he believes that side was better. At least that's how I see it.

Doom is like a King with the attitude of a god. The fact that he enjoys doing evil things is what makes him bad but I don't really see him as a villain either. He's an impulsive arrogant King too smart for his own good and he acts like it. So ya, I guess we could really argue about this one. I'm not up for that doh.

Toomes was a criminal but not a bad person. He didn't kill or try to kill anybody he didn't think was unnecessary to kill. He was a blue collar thief providing for his family. In fact, from my memory the only times he killed or threatened to kill anybody was when others threatened the protection of his family.
This isn't an evil person. Not even a bad person. He's a criminal, ya but that doesn't make one evil/bad. He doesn't enjoy doing bad things. He just happens to do things that are illegal. To me that's not a Villain.

This guy makes the Punisher look like a villain.

We have very different understandings of the word villain, in this context it's more like antagonist.
The Punisher is a villain. :sly:
It's ok to like fictional characters doing evil things. :woot:
