Then you go to the threads asking how much you loved the movie.

Since most movie fans consider X-Men: The Last Stand to be an outstanding effort, who should receive the bulk of the praise? X3 had grit, heart, and pivotal action. It is a work of art/comic book pulp fiction rarely seen on the silver screen. Who's most responsible? The characters, effects, and story were all X-ceptional. Director Brett Ratner picks right up where Bryan Singer left off and displays an amazing vision. He manages to keep the story intense and flowing but all the while it builds for a great climax to this third installment. Ratner also manages to deliver a little bit of everything ranging from true emotion to bad ass comic book style slugfests. I can see why some fans of particular characters might feel slighted, however. Cyclops, Angel and Colossus fans hoping for their favorite to shine must feel disappointed. Still, the rest of the cast was used remarkably well. Should they take most of the credit? Overall, like most people (who aren't stuck up fanboys, jealous Superman fans or Cyclops fanatics), I had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this movie.

This movie is the only real blockbusters of 2006 that lived up to box office expectations. Who gets credit for producing a gem of a finish to this remarkable trilogy?

You do know that is just an opinion & not 100 % fact to the entire Planet right

Opinion on a forum page?

...I'm shocked at that realization.

Actually MI3, Da Vinci Code, the Break-Up, Cars, Click and Superman all lived up to my expectations.

And while X3 was good, it certainly wasn't a gem...

Maybe the majority of easily impressed X-fans, but I'm guessing you dont visit general movie sites...because the response from movie buffs at those places is less than impressed.

Except for Cars (which I havnt seen), I thought all of the above films were better than X3.

outstanding effort?? HAHAHAHAHAAHHA... and did you say.. "lived up to expectations?".......

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!!!!

but anyways The CAst gets all the praise though, they were the only good thing, Hugh jackmen, Famke Jenssen kelsey Grammer and ellen page (spelling) were my favorites

I was referring to box office expectations.

(I know Da Vinci has cleaned up overseas but since I'm an American, domestic is where it's at)

Without a doubt, the cast members. They were bigger fans of the chars and the storylines, and more enthusiastic and respuctful than the writers or directors.

I visit the Rotten Tomatoes general movie forums often and there was quite a bit of praise for X3. (Far more then what poor Superman Returns is currently going through over there.)

I consider Roger Ebert KING of the movie buffs and we all know about his praise for the film.

It's tough for you DC people but try reading the entire paragraph before posting next time.

I see you omitted "jealous Superman fan" which clearly is where you fall. My deepest condolences regarding Superman's death on arrival in theatres.

RT takes up what not even 1 % of Movie Goers ? & have you seen the Movies Ebert has been giving two thumbs up to. It sounds like your a big suck up to anyone that likes this Movie & anyone that does not like it they are a DC Fan Boy eh ? & there is a thread where this could have gone in. So expect this thread to be either locked or merged

So, because he's possibly a DC fan automatically makes him a "jealous Superman fan"?

Nah, I think the thread should continue. Just don't alienate the people who didn't find the movie to be the next coming of Jesus.

This thread can continue fine in if you like the Movie post here thread. These two were made for each other

Ellen Page gets all the praise, shes just so cute , lets just give it to her :)

I say Singer and the original crew for setting up the trilogy for success.
