Really? That's cool. Do you have a sketch of him that you can scan?

I can't draw at all (I'm more of a words man, lol), but I have him mapped out in my head. This would be a very shadowy character. The kind of guy the hero barely ever sees, but has his hands in just about everything.

Wow, I've created alot of characters. I'm yet to create any superheroes yet. But I am working on a story with aliens right now.

The main one is Eon. He's pretty adorable in my book. :o

I created a character called Mother Goose. He is not a she and is not really a goose but a swan. He is a psychopathic mass murdering swan.

You know, I can totally see this appearing in Batman comic someday! :funny:

Scarecrow already hums nursery rhymes in some Batman stories. Don't think we need a full on Mother Goose character because of that.

It wasn't a serious suggestion, I know he and The Mad Hatter had a great time reciting Alice in Wonderland together. :oldrazz:

That was funny :woot:

I need to make more characters for my hero. Funny thing about mine is, the hero was the last character of the 4 I created. He is a fairly new idea for me. I tried many other heroes before him, and certain things didn't work about them. My new hero works very well for me, however.

Did you mention his name earlier or are you being ~mysterious~ on purpose? :woot:

I am talking in general terms cause I don't want anyone to steal my idea. I don't like to post my ideas in threads (since anyone can see them). I'll talk in broad terms about them, but not give specifics. Until I have a copyright, of course :cwink:

Okay, just making sure I'm not a dunce and just missed you saying what it was. I respect your wanting to keep it private, and on such a frequently visited board it probably is a really good idea. :woot:

Exactly what I think. Especially on a site geered toward the kind of base that would be into my idea :cwink:

Are you a writer or an artist or both? :yay:

I can't draw at all. I'm a bit of an aspiring writer now. Words are my imagery :woot:

Since I want to get a copyright on this character, I want to learn comic book formatting so I can write the first story arc. I'm gonna buy a book on this subject when I finish the book I'm reading.

When I was in high school I wrote a short story for English class about an Old West gunslinger named Coyote. He was a vigilante, kind of a mix between Batman and The Punisher. As for the story itself, it was a bit inspired by Sin City.

Oh cool, comic books are the best when they're written by comic fans, good luck with it! :woot:

Thanks :)

I have high hopes for this character and his stories. Especially when I get to my story that has been developing in my mind since I was 12 (bits and pieces for 10 years!). However, that story will be one of my last with this character, and is thus going to be way later in the series.

How do you get a copyright anyway?

Rad Man...

There is an official way, and a non-official way.

The official way is to submit it to I think the Library of Congress, pay a fee (not sure how much), and they grant you a copyright that is on the record.

The non-official way is to put your story or whatever in a sealed envelope, mail it to yourself, and NEVER open it. If you unseal the envelope, then your unofficial copyright is lost.

I would go for the official route. All I would have to do is leave the envelope in the wrong room, and someone opens it (without asking).

When I was about 17 I wrote & illustrated a short graphic novel aimed at children called 'The Six & a half adventures of Crazy Frog' as part of my A Levels.

It's main character was, you guessed it, a frog named Crazy, who was essentially a good soul, and a daydreamer. The book was generally about the antics him & his friends got up to. Secondary characters included his nephew, a pyromaniac newt named Kneecap (think Scrappy Doo, but darker, and likeable), and Meanie, Crazy Frog's imaginary friend, who isn't actually imaginary at all. The main villain was the Notorious P.I.G, a Guinea Pig, formerly a house-pet, cast out for killing his siblings. His main objective is to destroy Crazy Frog & his friends, and take over his patch of the garden pond, a 'turf war' if you will. His trusty henchmen are The Twelve Monkfish (who all had their own names & specialities) and Fishy, the water rat.

It's kinda Wind in the Willows meets Resevoir Dogs, I took alot of inspiration from Roald Dahl, he never sold kids short, his books were always very, very dark.

Helped me get an 'A' anyway!! And my little sisters loved it. I'm sure it's still knocking round my old school somewhere, I'll have to track it down.

* as a side note, a few years after this, there was a famous ringtone, various hit singles & other sh**ty merchandise all surrounding a character called 'The Crazy Frog' which made me wonder if I should've tried to get it published & copyrighted the name, might have earned me a few pennies!

I created a superhero and 3 villains for him (none of which I am comfortable sharing on this site...never know who might try and gank my idea).

I also have a notebook with 20+ different movie ideas (4 in the last 3 days). I have way too much freetime.
Freetime is a good thing. I never would have gotten my story started if I wasn't bored half to death. Now I can't stop adding on to the dang thing. :p

Awesome! :D :p

I was on the verge of creating a dude that looks like Colossus with Texas longhorns growing out of his head, but GR87 beat me to it :(

Yes. Telling any of you? No!
