Who is cooler: Mario Or Sonic???

^You just over rate Mario.

And you're just a Sonic fanboy who is a glutton for punishment. Seriously, it's like you just see either Sonic or Hedgehog on a title and you act as if it were good anyways.

Kinda like people who do the same thing, just with a Nintendo logo instead of a Sonic logo :o

I liked Sonic Heros even through the Glitches. Atleast you need to give the Sonic Team some creidit, they came up with Sonic Riders which wasn't another Racing Cart game.

1. Why would Sonic even be in a race cart in the first place?

2. Sonic Heroes was teh s**t.

3. Sonic Team is a horrible developer. Seriously, when Sega says that there aren't going to be anymore core Sonic games for a while, they're basically implying that even they admit that Sonic has gone down the crapper.

4. The Mario Kart series is yet another Mario game that is consistently good. Hell, even though there's a ton of them, the Mario sports titles like Mario Tennis, Mario Strikers, and Mario Golf are rather fun to boot. Seriously the only crap Mario games out there are the Mario Party games.

I'll downright admit to being a Nintendo fanboy. But damn, it's like he's literally saying that a game is good with just Sonic in the title.

Yeah, but by the same token, people are doing that for Mario and they do it for Nintendo games in general. Sonic has had some bad games, yeah, but so has Mario.

In a sense you are correct. Nintendo fanboys are some of the most rabbid of the three companies.

On the other hand, at the very least, Nintendo does take extra care to make sure their games are quality titles. It's the reason they are known to delay things so much and not give release dates until they are sure it meets the standards they set.

It's one of the blessings and curses of Nintendo's principles. Like all companies, they have their times when the games are less than stellar such as what Hippie mentioned, but mostly their games are very well made.

Yeah, but by the same token, people are doing that for Mario and they do it for Nintendo games in general. Sonic has had some bad games, yeah, but so has Mario.

But....Hippie admitted to that fact.

No, he admitted to being a bit of a nintendo fanboy, and then went on to attack the dude for saying that anything with sonic in it's name was good. And while thats a very stupid thing to do, people are doing the exact same thing for Mario. If Nintendo put out "Super Mario Sleep Simulator" on the Wii, where all you did was pop the disc in and watched a black screen for a few hours, there are people all over the internet that would get moist over it. It's a two way street.

That's genius!:wow: :cwink:

Seriously though, Hippie said in one of his posts that the Mario Party games are mostly dissapointing. Here:

Obviously they have had their downs gamewise (the VirtualBoy comes to mind) but their Mario titles, especially the core ones, are always consistantly quality product.

Of course Mario has been in some bad games.

The entire Mario Party series is crap. I personally don't care for the Dr. Mario games. Luigi's Mansion was mediocre.

A bit

But the games he mention are pure crap. :csad:

I mean seriously, he cannot diss a single Sonic game at all.

Oh come on, it's not that bad.

Though I would love to try out the Super Mario Sleep Simulator :oldrazz:

Even now with the Wii, Nintendo has some games coming out that look like crap to me.

DK Jet just looks like a lame racer that is inferior to Mario Kart.

But then look at Metroid Prime 3, Super Mario Galaxy, Super Smash Bros Brawl.....you would be hard pressed to find three games that have garnered so much praise and respect by one company in a years time.

IMO the last "core" Mario title wasn't that great, but even ignoring that, at least half of the games he stars in are really just average. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to say that he's fallen far enough to be on par with Sonic quality wise, I know that isn't the case, but it's still wrong to act like Sonic has become this leprosy-on-a-disc franchise while Mario is still as high quality as he was in 1995.

Just saying that because look:
1.Mario Cart
2.Crash Bandacoot racing (Cart)
3.Spyro year of the dragon (Cart)
4.Pacman world cup (cart)

Thats why I give Sonic credit.

How about we just agree to disagree...

It's a damn shame that most cart racers are complete crap. But why the hell would Sonic even been in a cart racer. That would just be.....dumb.

Well I never saw Pac Man going there but they did.

Actually Spyro: Year of the Dragon wasn't a Kart racer...was it?

It had Cart Racing for about 50% of the game. Close enough for me.

Ok, I just looked it up and I remember year of the dragon.

There were vehicles...but it was NOT a Kart racer.:o
