Who is "pulling our leg"?

Well, for weeks now we have had one crazy rumor after another, both regarding casting and script. And all the time someone is saying "the cast will be announced this week".

Who is behind it all? Are there people sitting in fancy WB offices trying to come up with just another absurd casting-rumor to mail to Robert and co., hoping they will take the bate? We all know the Bay statement regarding the next Transformers, maybe they are doing the same with JL. Or is it some of the haters of the JL movie (MOS and TDK camps) who is trying to make a mess of things and ruin the hype. Or maybe it's just random guys that are bored and who does their best to see if iesb, AICN and so on post fake rumors about an eskimo playing Superman?

What do you think? Is this a WB campaign? A haters-campaign? Or just coincidense?

in the third act, when the league is beaten and broken, maxwell lord is poised for victory....which is at foiled at the last second by the wonder twins!!! but then its reavealed that the wonder twins is really ra's al ghul. and who we thought was talia al ghul, is really batman. then batman and ra's make out....because ra's is really catwoman.

Misdirection is becoming more and more common in Hollywood. Bay has told everybody there are going to be fake scripts going out and fake news being dropped. It's almost part of the fun now.

In regards to JLA, it is even more possible because WB found leaks and could have fed them incorrect information. At first I didn't believe this at all, but now it seems to be the case.

only because the casting choices are pathetic. i dont want this with every movie. but those actors are really bad for JL. so our only hope is that its all WB's plan.

The only way this cast list is fake is if it's been misreported or falsified by an independent source somewhere down the line. There is NO WAY it was done by WB.

Fake scripts are one thing, but a fake cast is another. You think these young aspiring actors, regardless of how wrong they are for these characters (which they are), would want anything to do with a campaign that puts them at the forefront of worldwide ridicule? Who would want their name to instill frustration and hostility among the fan community? They'll forever be known as "the guy no one wanted to play Batman."

According to Emi Jayne (Before you start attacking her, she said cast would be releaed by the 18th months ago. Everyone assumed it would be because of that Con in Texas, but it turns out the NDA's on the actors keeping quiet went out on that day, confirmed by Porter at that Texas con. So she does seem have reliable sources since she said that date months ago.)

As for the script, I am 110% positive it is ready to shoot with. There is no doubt in my mind at all. Robert and Clint have said the same thing so don't panic over the bull **** from the Hollywood Reporter. My personal opinion is they're just saying it to drum up support for the writers so Hollywood will cave in sooner. Politics play a huge role in what gets printed by those people.
