Who is the Greatest Super-Hero Ever?

I could see if the point of this thread was to see WHO WE think is the greatest ever. I don't even like Superman because he is too perfect. I like heroes that have their faults, who make mistakes and have to live with them. So he def. would not be considered the greatest in my book.

Why are people getting so wound about this being posted in the wrong forum? The real issue is the sheer ridiculousness of Wolverine being the 'greatest superhero ever'.

I agree. Wolverine seems to be more of a rebel than being an actual super hero. It seems like he would at least give his teammates around him a little more credit and not be such a jerk when he doesn't get his way.

I say Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) He has beaten Sinestro so many frickin times, along with plenty of other super villains way stronger than such as the newest Shark, Monguls son, Mongul, Legion, Goldface, and the dark Green Lantern (Hal Jordan). He has put himself on the line to save the entire Earth and made the ultimate sacrifice in Final Night. He came back from impossible odds in Green Lantern Rebirth with mostly everyone having written him off, and beat the two supervillains responsible for his downfall, Sinestro, and Parallax all in one day.
Then Spiderman. He has put himself on the line so many darn times, and beaten opponents way stronger than him such as Venom, Rhino, Sandman, Doctor Octopus, Doctor Doom, that really big supervillain, and has had to endure the huge loss of Ben Parker but presses on along with the loss of one of his girlfriends Gwen Stacey. He continues to save New York City which continues to motivate Jamenson to try and make Spiderman look really bad, but his main goal is to get him to give up and quit. Not to mention he is probally the best super hero with wisecracks, and part of his charm is admitting his limits. I remember even though he stood toe to toe with Superman even he admitted his fists with spider strength werent enough to beat the last son of Kyrpton.

For those of you who may have noticed that I havent been posting on my own threads, its probably because my computer has broken and I was trying to buy a new one which is the one I'm using to post this. A friend of mine figured out my password awhile back and started this thread not me. I have to say it is quite a foolish thing to post about seeing as how just about anyone is going to say that their favorite super-hero is the best. Sorry for the trouble.

Superman. Mainly because of what Machx72 said. He's basically the definition of the word. He's the embodiment of heroism. Odds are the first person you think of when you hear the word "super-hero" is Superman. I don't really even like Superman, but he's still pretty much the greatest super-hero ever. Superman will always win. Always.

Its just a question to see what different people might have in mind for the greatest super-hero ever. I chose Wolverine because I think he is the gretaest ever. Why did you pick Super-Man? Cuz he has the gayest disguise of all time? Like seriously if you couldnt tell the difference between someone with glasses one moment and another when they dont have glasses you'd have to be either high or drunk.

Why do you think Wolverine is the greatest super hero?

For one thing I'm 16, and second I already said that I wasnt the one who started this thread so cut me some slack. If anyone here is acting immature (langsta) its those you who get so worked up over what forum this should be in or how stupid this thread is

For one thing I'm 16, and second I already said that I wasnt the one who started this thread so cut me some slack. If anyone here is acting immature (langsta) its those you who get so worked up over what forum this should be in or how stupid this thread is. So if you like this thread as much as I do, then stop posting on it, because thats the smart thing to do, but as I've come to find, intelligence doesn't show itself much on this site.

Your profile used to say that you were born in like 1994 or 1995 or something, and from the way you reply to messages it certainly appears so. I was just pointing that out. I don't know how that makes me immature....and I also didn't yell at you for putting this in the wrong forum. But maybe you should listen to people's advice: they're not telling you that it's in the wrong forum just to type it, they're trying to help you so you won't make the same mistake in the future. And anyone who's read your argument that your character Renegade is a duplicate of Wolverine has either come to the conclusion that "Wow, he's either arrogant or a 10 year old." And you didn't listen to them either. You'd think that after so many people telling you that he's too similar to Wolverine, you would finally listen to them. Why do you think that so many people would say he was too much like Wolverine? Maybe because he IS too much like Wolverine. So many people were saying it, that it has to be true. Why post your character if you're not going to listen to people's comments and be open to criticism? And dude, I didn't say that you were the one who started this thread. But it appears that you are. Stop saying that you aren't and admit your faults like a man!

But, you know, back on topic. It's obvious that Superman is the definition of a superhero, but really, the one thing he lacks that would make him the perfect superhero are flaws. He has no flaws, no weaknesses, except for kryptonite and magic. I change my answer to Spider-Man. He's got the teenage angst thing going on, he can bleed....it's these flaws that define him as a superhero.

[SIZE=-1]I say Arnold Schwarzenegger would have to be the best super hero hands down.

Surprisingly, you spelled his name right (I'm not insulting your intelligence, his name is obviously difficult to spell).

It doesnt even have my date of birth in my profile:S, but yeah sometimes I go a little over board when it comes to this, sorry bout that.

Well said. After all the word itself "Super-hero" was taken from Superman to represent all other heroes that followed who had "super-powers".

Batman

Superman may have been the first "Superhero"

But Batman was the first character to show that with enough determination, an ordinary man could stand beside a god as an equal.

As a normal human being bound to the disadvantages of being human, Batman still makes as much, if not more, of a difference in his cause of upholding justice as Superman does.

He's every bit the hero Clark is, but he's human. That's far more relatable and inspiring.
