Really, the Hype is ripe with intelligent people--individuals who are cultured and politically savvy. It's a shame that sometimes we lose sight of them due to all of the dumbness that is this place at times.

This must be MikeD_202's (sp?) favorite thread...it's full of people being unnecessarily wordy (about a non-scientific topic, no less!) because of the simple fact that the thread is about the Hype!'s Smartest Poster.

I mean, it's just really funny that, for whatever reason, people who normally don't write like this at all suddenly feel the need to in this thread. Coincidence? Hmmm...

The folly of men lies in their ignorance tis sad but true. If only the world were populated by more sages such as yourself, perhaps you should unionize and pass out leaflets for the vocation? Though I'm sure many would fail the entrace exam for how does one study for wisdom? To be sure there are only so many fortune cookies to go around, but alas I subscribe to ol'Michel Foucault's thoughts though in the end, we are all subjecated to some type of power and as such free thought truely does not exist.

Wisdom can be quantified and distilled to something as simple as allowing for the opinions of others as long as they do not offend.

I admit my lack in this regard as I have little patience for those who cannot simply accept views different from their own and it sets me on the same path as I strive to defend myself and others.

I hope to someday be as well learned and respected as you sir in regards to this,.. the SHH board.

I'm afraid my brother sage that at this juncture we must depart in our intellectual tracts for I must humbly object to the overly simplification of wisdom into such an empiracle system such as you have proposed. Does not wisdom need a qualifier, does not wisdom provide the immalculate vision to see between right and wrong? But alas even that definition betrays the spirit of my mind's musing, for what I'm trying to do is make coporal and abstract concept. Alas I'll ponder this further...
