I like all of them apart from Clooney but for me it has to be Kevin Conroy. Also this thread is not a "who was the best", its who is Batman to you, weather it be because you think they are the best or just for Nostalgic reasons.

Michael Douglas.

(I'll bet you it'll be a good long while beofre anyone catches on to this referrence.)

Keaton, obviously.

I believe him to actually be Batman. That's how convincing his performances is, and therefore, why he's the best.

Lol i dont really see how people can have 2 definitives. Because how can 2 people be Batman to you :p . Might just be me but i find that strange.

Well I see Keaton and Bale playing different versions

Keaton: Kane/Finger

Bale: O'Niel/Adams

That makes sense?

Christian Bale

Bale and Keaton. As of now I can't pick one over the other, they both made a great Batman imo.

You know what, I'm going to give Keaton a slight advantage on the Batman performance. The more I think about it, Keaton's Batman performance was really top notch and part of that is based on how he was written in the script.

Michael Keaton for me.

I just grew up with his films. I didn't really know him before he did Batman. So he was Bruce Wayne to me.

I was a big Bale fan before he was chosen for Batman. So during BB, I seen bale not Bruce.

Same goes for Kilmer and Clooney.

Conroy's just a voice. A great one, but still, just a voice.

And West? Well, he's in his own league.

Conroy. Everything about the animated series was definitive of what a Batman story should be on any type of screen.

Keaton was good. I think what he excelled at was playing Batman, but also having Batman spill over into Bruce Wayne. Maybe it's just me, but I think Bruce Wayne would be a little weird in his everyday activities. I mean, let's face it, anyone who does what he does is a total weirdo.

I think Bale needs another movie or two before he makes the role his own. Not to say his performance in Begins was bad, it was actually quite good in my estimation, I think it just didn't have some subtle nuances of the character. I think he has a great opportunity to really hit it out of the park in the sequel.

I picked Bale. Batman Returns is my favorite Batman film, but Bale is my favorite actor in the role. Keaton a close second and Conroy a close third.

Thats how i feel.

Keaton and then Bale, I was first introduced to the batman movies(not batman in general) with Keaton so to me, he will always be batman

The best Batman I've gotten on screen to date is TAS Batman. Timm/Dini's writing and animation along with Kevin Conroy's voice. My favorite so far. For live action, as far as looks my favorite is Dead End Batman. As far as personality, my favorite is Bale. As far as pure bred bad-assery, Keaton.

I don't have one, because there isn't one. There are a hundred different Batmans. Frank Miller's Batman. Bob Kane's Batman. Neal Adam's Batman. Animated Batman. Michael Keaton. Adam West. A thousand. There is no one Batman. Therefore there is no definitive Batman.

Yes there is a definite one.

Onstar batman:o

Michael Douglas.

Michael Keaton's birth name is "Michael John Douglas" if I read correctly he liked Diane Keaton's surname he named himself "Michael Keaton so that people wouldn't get confused with REAL Michael Douglas who played in Basic Instinct.
Am I right?
