Who Should Be Cast In The Hobbit?

With more MGM talk about franchise movies which included some more talks with Peter Jackson to direct a 2 part Hobbit movie. Kinda gives Rings fans hope that there will be a movie with Ian McKellan and Hugo Weaving but does anyone have any hopefuls for the other characters in the Hobbit.

I mean what actor would you like to play key characters in the prequel to The Lord Of The Rings.
Feel free to pick your own but here are my key character actor choices. I hope John Ryse Davis will return for one of the dwarves.

1 Thorin- Jeremy Irons or Sam Neil.
2 The Murkwood Elf King- Geoffrey Rush or John Hurt, Anthoney Hopkins or Peter O'Toole anyone of those would be fine.
3 Bard The Gaurdsmen- Christian Bale or Danial Craig.
4 Smogs voice- Andy Serkis/ James Earl Jones/ Peter Cullen.

I don't see why you need to recast Ian Holm as Bilbo. I mean the guy is old , but not that old that he couldn't play the character physically.
Just make him look younger with the CGI , just like they did with Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen in X3.

Having said that i do like the you're choice for Bilbo . But it wouldn't happen. He's too tall to play the character. You'd need someone who was very short

I';m just wary of the seconnd movie which ties up Hobbit to LOTR. I mean that is obviously the cash in.

Oh well.
For the first movie , they'll need to have Ian Holm as Bilbo , Hugo WEaving as Elrond and Andy Serkis as Gollum and Ian McKellen as Gandalf

As far as Smaug's voice , i'd rather let them take a good voice actor and have a sound effects guy really add dimensions to the voice. Sorta like what Dane Davis has done do Nic Cages voice in GhostRider by adding elements of animal sounds , fire , rasping chains etc to create this unearthy growl.

PJ most bring viggo back for aragorn. He said he would like to have aragorn in the film,a younger aragorn protecting the shire, but that he also wanted viggo in the role
