My personal choice is Brandon Molale. I'm also going to do a pole for Black Adam as I think the Rock would be perfect for that!

Depends, im not going for brandon right now because im not sure if he can handle the role acting wise, looks wise, theres no competition but i dont know about acting

id actually say warburton if he was a big younger

It's a tie between Warburton and Molale. But if I actually had to pick one, I'd go with Warburton. I can see him and the rock on screen right now.

yeah, i can also, he also have that deep, powerful voice

No to Molale, Sandler, Fraser, and Welling. Warburton certainly looks the part, but he's too old at this point, and he might slip too far into comedy if he played the part. Brad Johnson (Always, Flight of the Intruder) would've been perfect when he was younger, but he's also too old now.

It's a hard part to cast. I can't think of anyone who's the right age, has the right look, and has the acting chops to pull it off. I'll check back in if someone occurs to me.

I would have to say (in no particular order) Molale, Frasier or the Rock

Just how old is Captain Marvel supposed to look? I will not except a 23 year old guy as Captain Marvel.

According to imdb, Molale is in talks. But we know how resourceful they can be.

The only thing that's not having me go crazy for him is because he's basically an extra in every single role of his, and from what I've seen that he's in, I don't remember him.

It's kinda good I guess if they're going for an unknown.

Every other suggestion sucks terribly, excluding Duane Johnson, but I prefer The Rock for Black Adam

That is my only concern as well. Maybe he has the chops for the role, ...but sometimes I think maybe not...then again..he could surprise us. I just hope they get this movie made..and soon!

I think the rock would be able to pull it of
Cause he has that Latin look going on for him!

By the way I thought that Dean Cain rather look like captain marvel instead of superman
He’d be a good choice!
But next time he plays a superhero he should stop tucking his arms like he always did in Lois and Clark.

I chose Brandon Fraiser simply because I think Patrick Warburton may be a hair over the age limit.

Though if they event a way to take 10 years off of a person in the next few months - give it to Patty and make him the Captain.

Duane "the Rock" Johnson or Brandon Molale
Dead even in my book for those two.
Patrick Warburton for a cheesy Captain Marvel film.
The :hyper: is too old. :csad:

I can't imagine why anyone would want Brandon Molale. The vast majority of his roles are "Unamed Guy #7." There's no indication that he can act worth a damn, much less play Captain Marvel.

Technically he's Middle Eastern (if you buy all the associated mythology). Would you want, say, Alexander Siddig for the part?
Actually Black Adam is Middle Eastern, and Cap is the adult version (physically) of Billy, whom is represented as generic caucasion. The Wizard himself is up for grabs, since he apparently appropriates the powers of gods/elders from various parts of the globe (BA= egyptian gods; Caps =a mixing of roman, greek and hebrew gods/elders). So while Cap has powers from gods/elders of the mediterranian and middle east- he is decidely not middle eastern himself.

why are tom welling and adam sandler even on the list??

^ my guess is someone either A.) really thinks welling would be great...or B.) has to see him in tights and a cape since he wasn't in SR
for Sandler...who knows....a joke..heh..heh....ok..that was a courtesy laugh...I don't get why he is on the list either...

Peter Segal, who's signed to direct Shazam, has directed three Adam Sandler films: The Longest Yard, 50 First Dates, and Anger Management. Their close working relationship must be the reason Sandler's on the poll.

When Peter Segal was rumored to direct the film. Adam Sandler's name was thrown about, as a possible casting choice for Billy Batson.
Patrick Warburton as Captain Marvel and Adam Sandler as Billy Batson are perfect for a camp fest classic, BIG RED CHEESE comicbook adaption movie.

If Brandon Routh, a soap actor can play the world biggest superhero and comic book icon, Brandon Molale can play Captain Marvel. At least let him do a screen test with someone like Richard Donner.

Come to think of it, Richard Donner would be perfect to direct this. :wow:
