I was at the hospital the other day visitng my mom who just had surgery. Visiting hours were up so i head to the parking garage, while waiting for the elevator I hear a gun shot and the glass wall next to me shatters all over me, giving some cuts. I flinched and the elevator opened and told my sisters and my dad who is slow as hell (literally, he walks with a cane) to get itno the elevator. The next day I find out they killed a guy right outside the hospital and it was probably a stray bullet.

Ok after this story, this hospital for peoplke in Miami is Jackson memorial, is in a horribly bad neighborhood, like theres a rape, amurder almost every 4 hours acording to latest stats. Why are hospitals built in bad neighborhoods.

Its like a giant game of Texas Hold'Em and theyre betting my life.

That's what happens when you live in Compton, Darth

Well.....at least the guy who was shot was a hospital.................

my god...words don't describe how angry i get when someone attacks a hospital...like what happened during Katrina...people that do that sort of thing should be lined up in the street and shot.

and to answer your question...i would think that bad neighborhoods are in most need of a hospital because there are probably more sick people and such...maybe

He was shot in the head.

hospitals are made to keep people alive and well so it would make sense to put them in neighboorhoods that would suffer the mosts truama like gunshot wounds, diseases, etc.

Police think it was an execution by a rival gang. Yay!

That would've been so much funnier if you put more dots after that.

But yeah I guess getting shot in the head sorta destroys any chance of you getting saved......

I would think those are the type of people you would want to weed out aka let them kill each other.

Am I being insensitive?

Getting shot in the heart is an instant fatality. In the head you may have a shot at surviving.
