Colossus and Angel are pretty popular in the comics, but in the movies, they were underused. I hope for XFC, there would be none

But I have a feeling its either Havok or Banshee.

Hopefully, neither of them will be Colossus, who had one line in The Last Stand and was basically appointed an X-Man because there was no one else left.

I could say the same for Angel since both of them are actually on the team and look to serve the plot regarding the main group of mutants.

Hopefully, they'll be more along the lines of Bobby, Pyro, and Rogue in X2.

I don't believe there is one. Maybe Banshee is a minor character than others (because it's not in posters and in the trailers appears less then others), but surely Singer and Vaughn give him his due.

Havok - from what i've read - has also a good backstory, so I think he's developed a lot.

I'd probably say, Angel and Darwin...

I think Angel and Darwin will be the Colossus and Angel of XFC and I would be happy with that.

Well, yeah, characters like Angel and Darwin are already expected to be plot devices whereas it wasn't expected that Colossus would be a glorified cameo and Angel would be pushed into the background, especially considering the publicity they received...

Then again Darwin isn't a X-Men member in this film and Darwin is a D-list character in the comics so :woot:

Darwin is the perfect example of evolution .. adapting to his surroundings in order to survive .. I think his powers on screen will be pretty cool to see, and fits in to the revelation of mutants on a global scale.

Darwin can't really be the Angel or Colossus of First Class because he hasn't been shown off at all. We got like 3 glimpses of him max thus far.

Judging by the character trailers, I'd say we get to see quite a fair bit of Havok and Banshee (much to my surprise.) And I'm sure there's much more, especially since there seems to seem to be a real family quality to the team. Obviously Beast and Mystique are the supporting roles, so we'll be seeing a ton of them. I'd say Angel, but she's in the CIA fight, the Cuba fight and (BIG SPOILER) [BLACKOUT]turns on the X-Men and sides with the Hellfire Clib in the final fight.[/BLACKOUT] She doesn't sound slighted to me. It's hard to judge Darwin as I've not seen much from him, but at this point, I'd guess him. But I was certain Havok and Banshee were going to be background characters until we got more trailers/footage, so, watch Darwin be a pretty significant role. Azazel and Riptide. All fight and little character, perhaps?

We can't deny Vaughn's pulling off an ensemble cast of mutants pretty damn well.

Yeah, I'm surprised at how much of an ensemble film this is setting up to be. I would have thought they would have done what Wolverine did and just keep showing the one or two scenes the characters happen to be in ad nauseum but it seems like they have a lot more footage to showcase for these characters then we expected. Darwin has the possibility to be one of the more visually impressive characters so I doubt they didn't showcase much of him because they don't have many scenes with him. If they just had one scene of him "evolving" that they repeated over and over I would suspect he would have an extremely small role but the fact we haven't seen anything suggests his scenes may be too spoilery.

Colossus, Angel, impossible.
Otherwise Emma Frost, Havok shouldnt be appear in XFC

Angel seems to be in a lot more scenes than originally anticipated though...

Angel Salvadore is not even a X-Men member in the comics, she was just an X-Student. She is definitely no Colossus and Angel.

I guess Darwin is a cameo type role. It will be cooler for certain characters to just be a cameo, rather than trying to add story for them and as a result looks desperate eg. Will I am or gambit character.

Cameo type role?

Nah, that's not really what a cameo is. I think he'll have a lot more to do with the movie than the advertisements have him advertised..

A cameo role is like Professor X's role in Wolverine.

I'm hoping Darwin either "dies" in the middle of the movie and returns in an evolved fashion at the end, or better yet, that the film goes really political halfway through and Darwin is imprisoned by the goverment and he decides to stay there, as pacific resitance, just like Beast did in the Animated Series.

I think Darwin could very well be the equilvent of red shirt In Star Trek or The sacrifcal
Lamb In James Bond.He could very well be killed during the Hellfire club's attack on CIA
headquarters.

The red shirts will never have an equal. I mean, those red shirts rarely even got a name let alone a few lines.

If Darwin were to die I'd imagine he survives in some way for a post credit sequence. The guy's power makes him very hard to kill, as evidenced by the comic in which he first appeared. Maybe that's when they show how off how powerful he really is since we haven't seen much besides him growing gills in water.
