Who would win? Heroes character vs. comic book character...

While I do agree that Pete doesn't really stand a chance, all that stuff you just said is meaningless in a fight.

ahhh in the comic book world it's not meaningless. the whole point of heroes is that they always beat the villian because they are selfless, sacrificing, strong willed, smarter, they have more inner strength than that of the selfish, mindles villian. Peter simply doesn't have what it takes inside to beat superman, better powers or ****ter powers. peter is sloppy, easily manipulated, rarley uses his powers simultaniously. In the comic book world inner strength is what gets them through a fight, not muscles or powers. However in a real fight, one taking place in real life, yes I do agree with you that what I've just said is meaningless.

I subscribed to this thread hoping it would be a goo vs thread does it have to get bogged down by power level debates?

That's kinda what happens in vs threads before you weed out the ones that don't know wtf they're talking about. Then it just comes down to the five or six that do, and by that time the thread is virtually dead.

Amen Brother!!!!

I like Heroes and i actually like the character of Peter, but the thing is the man is just starting out and it seems that some here just don't get that. Maybe in time he'll get that inner strength and selflessness and the will to be come a great hero like superman, but right now the guy is new at this and doesn't even know how to use his powers to their fullest or the experience to take out viliians, and the skill to use his power to counter the effects of powers that are thrown at him by different villians like Superman does. Even if he ever learns i still would give it Superman. It's just that the battle would be better. I just haven't seen any power that Peter posses that would allow him to crush superman.

That's the point of the thread but it seems that some can't look at the expierence and history and what the characters have done with their abilities and make a rational unbiased choice on who the victor would be. Just looking at the match ups of the characters from both sides and looking at their power, skills and expierence should be enough to make an honest pick. Unfortunatly some here are want to turn this into a power debate and are to biased. The characters from Heroes are likable and interesting, but in match ups I don't see any of them taking down iconic comic characters like Superman or Magneto due to what we know about them. Now if we can have real deabtes and pit them against comic characters that are more along their lines then fine, but when some start going on that Peter can beat Superman or Sylar would be better suited to take on Magneto then i just roll my eyes.

Arthur vs Rogue

A good question I have is what would happen if Arthur touches Rogue and tries to steal her power???????

I'd go with Arthur. Even with all Rogue's strength and what-not, Arthur still has the mental abilities of Maury Parkman. As for the latter question, I would guess that he would be harmed by touching Rogue, much like everyone else is. I don't think he absorbs a person's memories like Rogue does. Also, Arthur's touch doesn't seem to harm his victims.

We'd have to determine whether or not the match includes the powers Arthur has currently in his arsenal. If so, he doesn't need to touch Rogue to get her powers, considering he already took Peter's main power.

he'd get a dose of his OWN medicine

Mutated? At this point, we still have no idea where the people from the Heroes verse got their powers. If the eclipse is involved, I'm more inclined to believe it's magic or of alien origin.

I meant "mutated" as in both groups have altered DNA that led them to develop their powers.

I just want to get back on the superman thing for a moment. some here was saying that Peter would duplicate supes powers or get them however his powers work. Thinking about it rationally superman doesn't have special powers. He's not like mutants or the heroes who are all basically genetically advanced humans. Peter dupicates their abilites, but superman is Kryptonian and his powers if we can call them that are a natural result of his species. Like how spiders spin webs, well they all can do it, so it's the same with all Kryptonians. When they come in contact with solar rays of a yellow Sun, their cells absorb the energy. Looking at it more and more you can't say that Kryptonians have special powers cause their solarradiation processing is a natural thing. So how would Peter be able to gain Supes powers or even Arthur? Neither of them would get anything from a normal human. Superman is a normal Kryptonian, he has no extra ordianary abilities.

Assuming Peter's power would work on her.

It could, but i just remember the episode with the invisable guy that said Peter's power allows him to soak up the genetic properties of others LIKE him. At this point and based on what the guy told Peter it doesn't seem that Peter could duplicate the powers of others that aren't like him or those who have their powers due to same circumstance. We still don't know the source of heroes abilites.
