Who Would you cast as Captain America?

Well, Cena's acting is about as big as two socks... he is a glorified stuntman... that IS what WWE guys are, truth be told, stuntmen...

So if Cena was cast, Cap would have three looks: Butt-kicking mode, the soldier scowl and the soldier solute with a slight hint of happy pride...

Love interests, emotional loss... all that would have to be pretty light for Cena to be able to pull it off...

Initially, I felt Heath Ledger would have made good Captain America, but this was before him being cast in Nolan's "The Dark Knight". Damon is a pretty decent suggestion. Not seeing John Cena in the role at all.

Matt Damon may be 5"10, but you can get past that by casting people that make him look big. Damon is one of the best actors out there right now, he has star power, and he looks young. Those saying he is too old but then endorse Jim Cavizel (I know I spelled that wrong) or Brad Pitt are contradicting themselves.

Matt Damon would be my dream choice for this role. If they cast someone like John Cena, I would lose ALL hope for this film.

With Cena you get someone who can play a convincing supersoldier and looks like he could take out two dozen nazis by himself.

Paul Walker brings nothing to the table besides blue eyes and blonde hair. It takes more than that to play Cap.

All you would need to do is dye his hair blond and he would be perfect.

Paul Walker would simply be a hideous choice for Steve Rogers.
Unless Avi is just looking for an actor that can do a passive job, looking the part, then by all means, hire him. But I think the majority would rather an actor who can not only look the part, but also do a damn good job playing the part as well. Can't say I see this happening with Cena, or god forbid Paul Walker in the role.
Again, Damon is a very decent choice.

If you're casting someone strictly on comic-accurate looks, then yes, Cena. I saw "The Marine", however, and IF, and that is a big IF, he can polish his acting quite a bit, then I would agree.
For Marvel to dismiss him without serious consideration would be a big mistake

Ummm....Matt Damon would be one. Another that would be better is Brendan Fraser (probably not a popular pick on here nor one of my true go to people for it, but the best I got on the spot).

Both would crush that horrible Cena idea. I could just see it now, Cap FU's the Red Skull into the arctic, lol.

Here's to Damon for Captain America and Paul Bettany for the Red Skull (he just needs to learn a German accent).

Cena, seriously, marvel has to make a steady stream of hits to kick off thier own movie studio, and there's no way in hell he could pull in an audience with star power alone, because there's no way in hell he could pull off anything other than a ******ed mute. I know everyone wants him cast for his body but it wouldnt take that long for a normal guy to get big, not roids big, but big enough, like Routh big(he should have been bigger, I mean you should look a bit bigger to lift a friggin island.). I'd like to see what Jack Nicholson could do with the role,lol. Damon, if he was a bit younger, but if he would do it why not. Hey why not Gerard Butler from 300, I could live with an aussie for cap, I dealt with a blonde bond. I would predict they cast an unknown, but wtf do I know.
