Do you offer resistance to Matt McConaughey (6 feet, athletic, chiseled body albeit more streamlined)?
Matt is a good chocie...but Aquaman...that is Matts role.

I used to agree Damon would be good but after watching Ocean's 11 last night with him standing next to Brad Pitt and everyone else in the cast...he looked small. Real small.
Jason Lewis is 6' 1", not as buff as McConaughey, but that's not a problem. He may not have as much acting talent, but I think he's okay actor. He could pull of Cap - with good director. Lewis' biggest role so far was in Sex and The City, and he was fine in that.
What stuff don't you like about Matt? Lewis can fill the elusive Thor slott with less acting requirement.

MATT DAMON!!!
No brainer here. Awesome as Bourne and a great actor. He is the perfect Steve Rogers.

	Are you kidding?????????
Cap is at least 6'4". I like Damon. But let's at least try to get the Super Soldier aspect of this right.
I think this is going to take two different actors.....one skinny one and one muscled up guy to be Cap. The serum does change his appearance even in the comics. Skinny Steve doesn't have the square jaw of Cap. If the two guys look close enough alike, with a little CGI, they can pull this off.

Matt could do the Tom Brady story.

I don't think Cap has to be 6"4 or more...I think he needs leadership presence and to be built...really tall is not a requirement to me.
Matt Damon as Cap.

Sorry dude. But Cap is one of those characters that no one should pull a Tim Burton with.
Acting ability>>>Height

I think Damon would be a great Captain America, the question is would he be like Halley Berry in X-men or Ben Afleck in Daredevil? Will people look at him and say "Oh there is Matt Damon." or will they say "Oh there is Steve Rogers/Captain America?"
And I think Matt Damon can do that, play Stever Rogers/Captain America without people focussing on him and how famous he is the whole time.
This is what they will see.....

I think what will probably happen is they will pick a relatively unknown actor, like Routh for Superman. The biggest thing he had done was a Soap Opera.
It's the character that's the star...not the actor (in some cases). Superman is an icon! Doesn't matter about the actor as long as he looks the part.
But I could also see them picking someone bigger name, like Downy Jr. for Iron Man.
Downy bares a resemblance to Stark. Plus his own battles with addictions made for a perfect choice.

It would work, as long as they are a great enough actor that they just become the role instead of let the role become them like Afleck.
I thought Affleck did a great job. I think they dropped ball with the casting choice for Bullseye and Elektra.

No way..........

I say their acting ability should outway where they were born, how tall they are, how famous or unfamous they are, and so on.
Then I guess Gary Coleman can be the Falcon? Why can't we have both? Captain America is just a different animal. He needs to be big in stature and legend. Not some runt like Damon (though he's a fine actor).
their acting ability is the most important.
Will that person be able to play Captain America/Steve Rogers best?

Okay, that's it. Matt Damon or Brad Pitt for Captain America. I really can't see anybody being better than either of these two. Height be damned. Wolverine is 6'2 for christ's sake. F*** it. As long as the actor is right.
...Yes I am watching the Bourne movies right now.
