Okay guys. Zack Snyder has been slated to direct. Who do you want to star in this major motion picture "epic"?

no one, it shouldnt be made at all, there's no way to do it justice in just one film..maybe as an HBO mini-series, one episode for each issue, but unless they do the movie LOTR style, as 3, 4 hour long movies, not gonna work

I agree with the Joker in the fact it should be a HBO mini.
It could do amazing.

Now on the Cast:

The Comedian / Edward Blake - Clancy Brown
Nite Owl / Hollis Manson - James Cromwell

man...Bruce Campbell would be perfect for the comedian as far as looks go, as long as he could tone down the amount of "hey look I'm bruce campbell" he always seems to put in his performances nowadays :o

Am I the only who thinks that Campbell would be a horrible choice?

he would do a great job.

I'm a little skeptical of doing one movie for the watchmen to do justice.

Like said before a mini-series or a trilogy would probably work out.

Alan Moore HATED every movie done to his works. I think the director to do the film said he would try his best to stick to the book entirely.

If they wanted to do a good watchmen story, include every little detail from the short story to the physchologist and so forth.

Good luck to the guy making this.

The only problem with every adaptation of Moore's novel is the script.

Look at Constantine, it have awesome vissual style, but I didn't like the script, because it wasn't done right.

Then look at V for Vendetta. It was very good movie and not so good adaptation. They changed too much in script.

And that is why now I want Watchmen to not have too much of crap from screenwriter's ideas.

Let's see.
The Comedian is shown in the movie from his 20s to his 60s, with most of the scenes when he's 40. So an actor in his 40s, like George Clooney, who probably would love to act a bastard republican superhero.
Dan Dreiberg in the script is someone in his late 30s, and I'm thinking that Ed Norton would be better in this role than as Rorshach.
Laurie is in her early 30s with a flashback showing her at 18. Hilary Swank was attached to the role last year, and I think she would be great.
Jude Law wanted to be Rorschach (thanks to heavy make-up) but he would be a great Adrian Veidt.
Paddy Considine for Rorschach? He looks the part and he's a good actor (see "In America" if you haven't). Too bad that he's 5ft11, a bit too tall. Someone somewhere suggested Sean Penn as Rorshach, and that's not hal a bad idea.
For Doc Manhattan, they're going with a painted actor, there's no reason for him to be CGI, and we need someone tall and with a great body. Eric Bana or Gerard Butler seem good candidate.
And Cristopher Plummer for Hollis Mason.

I think Judge Reinhold would be perfect as Dan Dreiberg/Nite owl 2.

Doug Hutchison (The X Files's Tooms, The Green Mile's Percy) IS Rorschach!

Watch this space...
