They both revolutionized the horror genre in a huge way, and both have amazing resumes. It's really hard to decide, but I have to go with Wes Craven by just a hair. A Nightmare on Elm Street is one of my favorite horror movies.
I agree. It's a pretty tough one. Robert Zemeckis Back to the Future and Forest Gump were good films....But Peter Jackson defined the word EPIC with his adaptation of "The Lord Of The Rings". So I say Peter Jackson
