This is got to be the most hated movie of all time. Why? It rocked. the special effects were amazing and the violence was CRAZY. And for you lucky ass's who saw jake die at the end. LUCKY YOU!!!!

This is my least favorite Jaws film, but I wouldn't say I hate it. Heck, I own it. But amazing special effects? I wouldn't go that far. Crazy violence? What violence are you talking about. I thought Jaws: The Revenge was the least violent of all four films. Not great, but still a fun watch once in a while. Hoagie rocks by the way.

The whole "the sharks have a grudge against the Brodys" was incredibly stupid. So was the shark jumping out of the water and roaring like Godzilla.

Well it is my opinion and you have yours. But did any one here see Jake at the end die?

Aside from the first, I don't like any of the others all that much. I'll watch Jaws 2 every once in a while though.

this movie was just an unnecessary milking of the franchise.

was michael caine in it though? i remember he was in one fo them.

Yeah, he was in it.

I believe this was actually the first JAWS movie I saw as a kid, but it's now my least favourite in the bunch. And for good reason. The plot was horrendous, and the shark definately left much to be desired. Basically, the movie is just lame. I think even the woman who played Mrs. Brody in the film later admitted that she took part in this sequel for money on a E! True Hollywood Story show that focused on JAWS.

It's been 15 or more years since I saw it....but I'll try and list some reasons;

1) A cousin of the original shark was hunting down members of the Brody family(he follows family members from Maine down to the Bahamas)..........you don't really need many reasons after that one.

I saw Mario Van Peebles die in the movie...he was chewed and chewed and chewed....blood and guts everywhere......it's amazing how he lived in the tape version.

They changed a character's death for the tape release?

Yep....in the theatrical release...Mario Van Peebles character is killed at the end. There was major protests about it...because he was about the only likable character in the movie, and others said it was just typical Hollywood killing off a black man.

They went back and reshot a scene for the VHS tape release, of him swimming up to the others and saying something like "I sure was lucky to get away".....but they left in the shots of him getting chewed up.:whatever:

I remember watching it as a kid on video and on HBO and I don't remember MVP's character living or do I remember seeing guts everywhere. I remember seeing Lots of blood and the Shark kept biting down on his body.

Great Whites do leap out of the water like he did at the end, but I'm not sure if they roar. I have been told they can roar like a tiger, but I just don't know for sure.

I saw the version where MVP lives not too long ago. I was like:

I think they hear him moaning and he's just floating there, and they swim up to him, laughing. He then spits out several one-liners. :csad:

That's terrible. I wouldn't mind seeing that just to see it.

I don't think I've ever wanted to see Jaws: The Revenge until now, that's hilariously bad.

I just went to the IMDB site to read up on it some....the little girl who played Thea Brody.....she was murdered by her father at the age of 10.:csad: The SOB killed her, her mother, and then himself.....he should have shot himself first.:cmad:

The whole movie is hilariously bad....one thing after another. The shark actually follows them from Maine to the Bahamas....damn, the Navy needs to recruit some of those suckers.

Michael Caine actually outswims the shark.................'nuff said really.

I just put this piece of crap on my netflix queue. Of course I haven't bumped it up to the top, so I might be taking it off after the fun of this thread wears off.

Caine can do anything :)

What happened to all the Ghostrider's between 1-86 and 88-5005?

really. What's ******ed about a family of giant, mind-reading sharks?

If you were a baby, I'd drop you.

It was pretty bad, the worst one in the series. Jaws was a masterpiece, second was decent, third was crap and last was mega crap.

The best definition of this movie was made by Michael Caine himself in an interview:

Question: Mister Caine, are you proud of movies like jaws 4: the revenge?

Michael Caine: Not, it was pure garbage. But did you know what? i Bought a Fine Picasso Paint and a big and pretty house in a beach with the money for doing this movie. I haver never seen this movie again, but i see my house and my Picasso a lot of times. Sometimes, actors have to forget art and prestige and think on money, this movie was one of those times.
