Why is Godzilla (GINO) being used in Doritos commercials?

I've always liked Rodan and him the best.

Ah, they fawked up the star. Great video still.

I was wondering the same thing about that Godzilla commercial, just came out of nowhere. Too bad no one uses the Stay Puft marshmellow man anymore, he needs some lovin'

Johnny and Gino's was the name of a barber shop I used to go to before I moved. One guy Johnny was this great Italian guy who knew the area like the back of his hands, his partner was a giant lizard very loosely based on a Japanese film monster....cool place.

I never understood what was so bad about the Godzilla movie? I really enjoyed it. I've never been able to watch any of the older ones, but the one from '98 was actually entertaining.

So why does everyone hate it?

I just felt it was a poor film. Kinda like ID4, ya know entertaining....but on a really shallow and unrewarding level.

Who liked the Destroy All Monsters game? I thought it was cool.

I liked ID4 quite a bit actually. Nothing wrong with it.

I did. I thought it was a pretty fun game to play. I am best when playing as Godzilla.

I saw a commercial where Godzilla from the 1998 US movie is shown eating an 18-wheeler full of Doritos. Why use an unsuccessful movie in your ad 8 years after the flick bombed?
I thougth it was a decent movie so long as you take it as some kinda morbid Jurassic Park spin-off.

I think everybody that saw it thought that it was very good. It's just that nobody wanted to see it cause they thought it would suck. Maybe sometime soon they'll make a second one. There was one egg left that hatched in the end so they could just not screw up the trailer and make a sequel for Gozilla (1998)

when i saw ID4 on opening day, i was 12 i think, i thought it was the greatest film ever. It's still not that bad, i watched it last night on HBO.

When did that movie come out again? What year?

1995. It came out when I was 14.

I also liked Godzilla 1998. Space has had a marathon of the rubber suit movies several times. So I've seen bits and pieces of quite a few. And they are all worse than Godzilla'98.
