Why is Hype so slow?

Been slow for me when I've tried to get on for the past few days with brief 5 min speed ups..

seriously, did this site gain 10,000 new members in a span of 24 hours because it has been ABNORMALLY HORRIBLY SLOW lately. Beyond it's usual, it's actually pathetic.

is there nothing at all that can be done about this?

It happens, the mods and up say that they will be working on it and if you don't like it, tough. That's ths usual stance anyway.

not exactly good buisness ethics they got if that's their mentatility. Hate to see how they operate in the real world

because, technically, aren't we the "customers" to this site, per say. The customer is always right.

and if a group of "customers" have some type of criticism towards the business, the buisness needs to focus on fixing that, and put 110% in doing so

We're not exactly customers though, we don't pay for anything. It's like hotmail free accounts. You can use it for years and they can do what they want and if you don't like it then what? Get used to it or try and get them to change for you. Now SHH has it better as we can actually contact the people higher up directly instead of waiting for emails to not get responded to and we can spam them with messages until we`re banned but in the end it`ll be fixed when it`s fixed.

I will admit that the lag can be very very annoying. I personally dont think that the people that run SHH are just sitting around petting thier cat and laughing at us all. I think they do what they can, when they can to make coming to SHH and enjoyable experience. There is alot of waork that goes into running something like this and making it all work to everyone's satisfaction.

Even with the lag, I am enjoying my time here so far.

On the ironic side, if this actually posts this time, it will be my 5th attempt at it. The lag is bad this morning.

Lets face it the Hype needs a new server host. You guys can only blame the lag on heavy traffic for so long before it becomes obvious that something else is causing this lag

The site gets paid for advertising, and they advertise to us. Us not being here = pointless advertising.
