Why is "Spider-Man 3" So Depressing!?

I think Spider-Man 3 was a good movie, but not a good Spider-Man movie.

If it was just a movie on its own, and it wasn't based on any comic book characters, it would have been panned so much more.

It's depressing the fact that a master of horror-comedy totally wasted a character like Venom.

I absolutely agree. Although he has said that he was never even a fan of Venom so he probably had no idea how to handle him correctly.
