I mean seriously.99 percent of ff board Is just Anti fox ProDisney.

You got almost every post hoping for project's cancalation,or going to the
tired Fox should just give rights back to Marvel.

The few who try to be postive on this are attacked.

Why not just have a FF thread In Mis marvel board where they can just bash
Fox all they want.

This section Is the most blerent Disney/MS VS Everyone else on SHH Forums

You don't like it, get out.

Fox lovers be damned to hell. Disney/MCU RULEZ!!!!

Close thread.

I've been posting pretty much exclusively in the FF forum for the past 10 years. I have 'tried to be positive' over nearly that entire ten years, and while some might have disagreed with me at times, I can't remember ever being attacked for being positive.

As great as the MCU has been, there are a lot of flaws in the MCU as well. The positives of Marvel Studios outweigh the negatives, and alot of the negatives can easily be fixed.

It is like this because it seems the majority want the rights to revert back to Marvel and it seems like FOX doesn't care about the F4. Marvel needs the F4 there is a void that only they can fill, you can tell by them focusing on the cosmic aspect of the MCU without the F4. It feels like something integral is missing. FOX hasn't helped matters by not showing any enthusiasm to the project, declaring unnecessary race changes, lack of hype and information and moving the date to one where the film will be slaughtered.

Marvel is not perfect at all, but you can't blame people for not having high hopes for something that has everything against it and would fit seamlessly with another company. Especially, when the previous F4 films suck.

But to answer his question. This thread exist because Fox says they're gonna make a FF movie in 2015

Fox is doing a bad job so far putting this movie together through casting rumors and script issues.

Fox is not realizing that trying to make a movie which has in the works since 09 is trying to enter the summer season saturated with super heros and franchise sequels which will create a flop in the movie.

Nobodys is attacking.. they speak the truth from their view point. I Have my own. Others have theirs. Its just that the reality is that a simular consensus is being drawn about the merits of this particular production.

And if indeed 99% of this board (and countless others) want this franchise to go back to Marvel then what financial sense is it for Fox to prevent that when reversion is looming anyway?

And those same 99% is fine for the X-Men to stay with Fox so in reality its not Fox bashing. Its a "Why is Fox so dumb that they will release a Fantastic Four movie nobody wants to see from them apart from the MCU" thread

From a fan perspective yes, but in reality Marvel Studios would do just fine, profit wise, with out the F4 with their cosmic stories (GoTG and Inhumans). Its the F4 that suffers without Marvel by not being able to be a part of the Cosmic MCU.

So its Fox starving the FF from being the best FF it can be..

I take it that it's a FF movie forum first and formost, not exclusively a FoX FF forum or a MCU FF forum.

If FoX makes it, people can discuss it here.

If it reverts and MS makes one, again we can discuss it here.

If you dislike any of the above options and prefer one over the other, you discuss it here.

New to these forums, and I want to be completely honest: I am very excited for this movie. I see there's not a whole lot of enthusiasm for it here, and I really don't get why. I watched Chronicle and thought it was great. For me most of the time a competent director signifies a good flick. Plus the studio seems to take their comic book properties seriously now with the proposed X universe that begins with Days of Future Past and extends to the FF.

I didn't like the Tim Story movies but that guy's gone and so is Tom Rothman. With Vaughn and Kinberg involved and Trank directing I'm expecting this to be another X-Men First Class except set in modern day.

You shouldn't let a handful of people get to you marvelrobbins. From what I can tell, the group is pretty small and their crying isn't going to get the film cancelled. Probably won't get any updates on it until early next year, so for now, sit back and enjoy the meltdowns. :word:

Huh, I never realized that one pro-Disney/Marvelthread ("Keep Hope Alive") constitutes 99% of this board. And the "negative sentiment" as some sensitive posters call it dominate because the way this film's production has progressed, the only thing you can talk about is either nothing or controversy.

But marvelrobbins' martyr complex trying to stir **** up is always good for a laugh.

Forget Trank and Chronicle, it's this studio. So far everything they've done points to a disaster. They've been working on a script for this movie for literally 5 years and STILL don't have one, they're JUST greenlighting one at nearly the last minute because they HAVE to, and speaking of which they're only doing this film because they have to, not because they want to; they have no vision going into this of what they want the film to be which is never a good sign; the studio probably wants to keep the costs low which is what's been taking so long to get the script right, just like back in the 90's.

And then on top of all that now they schedule it to come out the same day as Inside Out and a week after Jurassic World. They're literally sending this film to its death, it will be dead on arrival against those with no hype of its own with only two movies that were poorly received backing it up. And I'll be surprised if the marketing campaign for this is any better than the Wolverine's...which was subpar at best. There's just a bunch of negatives surrounding this.

If you think it's small and just contained here you haven't been to too many other places.

All I know as far as legitimate non-speculative information goes is that Trank passed on several other projects in favor of this one. They were all hundred million dollar movies, all legitimate projects that he had to carefully say no to in favor of Fox's FF reboot.

If the person directing this was someone known for bad movies or unproven I'd be worried. I really don't care if it took five years to write or ten, nor that the rights are in question. I just know Trank is talented and until I see the movie I won't pass judgment on it.

I'm excited for a new FF from someone with real talent. Tim Story is long gone.

They have to because James Cameron couldn't get Avatar 2 ready in time for 2015.

I remain convinced that the only reason Fox is making the movie is to try and get a big check from Marvel/Disney. *That* would be why I am negative. If they were actually interested in making movies to make money on movies, they'd have cut a deal with Marvel to extend their DD rights, since the DD movie was a much better prospect at the time. Given they wrote off a movie that was at least in development, rather than trade any partial rights involving a movie that was a pure pipe dream? Its not about what movie they can make, its about what rights Marvel wants, and is more likely to pay for.

So you felt the need for YET ANOTHER thread to bellyache in? Spending all your time grinding your teeth in the three or four ones we already have isn't enough?

This thread should be closed.

they're only doing this film because they have to, not because they want to;

Let us not forget that 'produce a film immediately or lose the rights' is the very same reason the Roger Corman FF film was made. :woot:

And what makes you think Disney would pay anything to Fox.DIsney of today Is mostly If we can't buy It outright like with Marvel or Lucasfilm they say screw it.

Many of you are proving my point.Fox has the screen rights to FF,and Is planning a film for 2015.Tom rothman Is gone and we have people like Josh Tank and Matthew Vaughn who are not Tim Story.

People are attacking film just because Fox Is making a film. And they keep bringing up past FF films. That regime Is gone.Did people condeem man of steel since it came from studio that made Green lantern.

I am not wild over changing race of Human torch.I am oppossed to that on
all films. But where was the outcry over black moneypenny In Skyfall? Black Perry white In Man of steel? Changing races of 2 asgardians In thor? Changing race of whichever character you want to the mandarian In Iron Man 3?

Plus back In 1996-1997 when I was reading heroes reborn comics the race of Jasper sitwell was different than race in films.

People claim they want classic versions here.Every DisneyMS film Is In part based on ultimate Marvel. So Is Amazing Spider-Man.Fox using ultimate FF as influence Is no different than Disney/MS or Sony.If Fox ever does a complete reboot of X-Men then odds are good It would at least partly be based on
Ultimate X-Men.

Now i seriously doudt most here would say anything If DIsney/MS were changing race of Human torch and using ultimate FF as influence on film.

Statements like these are ridiculous, false generalizations.

You're taking things that may be true for a small number of people here and saying they are true for MOST of us. As a participant of the boards, I feel you're directing insults at me even though you illustrate that you know very little about my opinions by your own statements.

Why would you make broad, false, insulting statements unless you're just trying to stir up s***, piss people off and start arguments?

If you have particular points you want to dispute with particular people, that's fine, but when you make these kind of broadly insulting statements, it just seems like trollish, attention-seeking behavior and invalidates any point you may try to make.
