Why mess with the origional?

I always loved the silver webbing on Spider-Man's costume. Always appreciated the way it shines in the daylight in comparison to the straight up black webbing.

The costume in TASM2 feels like a high quality cosplay outfit in comparison.

Is it just me, or does the figure of the TASM2 Spidey above appear a bit bulkier? Maybe it's one of the stuntmen in this shot?

I'm probably in the minority on this topic but I truly like the Raimi black suit. It isn't the classic black but that doesn't stop this version from looking awesome. I very much dislike the silver webbing on the Raimi red and blue suit however on the black suit it looks outstanding. Love it.

I would have loved to see some of the discussions during the Raimi days.

There was a group here called DOT (Defenders of Topher) back then. I thought our discussions were fun, but I've been told I really got under people's skin. t:

I didn't have a problem with the raised webbing on the symbiote, but that was one of the few areas where the costume passed the test. It just hung on Peter like lifeless material until the church scene. It should have been something that was constantly morphing, flowing, and communicating with Peter. It did none of that, and it only got any semblance of personality via weak exposition from other characters.

I agree they could have done a lot more with the symbiote. You could say that about the entire movie. But just from an aesthetics pov, I really liked the black suit.

Personally, I always liked the black webbing on the Venom symbiote, nice feature IMO, really stands out. The upcoming Superior Venom Marvel Legends figure slightly kinda has a movie Venom motiff going on, so I'm buying it.
