Sequels Why there won't be an X4

I think Halle wanted Storm to be the warrior she was in the comics, Singer didn't allow her to do it and with X3 she was unwilling to sign on. When she heard Singer left, she signed on as the warrior was really unleashed in this film. And I don't blame Halle, almost all of the other characters were like how they should be EXCEPT for Storm.

If there is to be a X-4 movie .... I think FOX should jsut turn over in thier grave and give the project back over the Synger and maybe someone like the WB FREE of charge with no strings attached.

After seeing that piece of ".........." the next movie should be a come back out of the gutter that it is in.

The Actors are fine - its not thier fault, it was FOX and Rattners for rushing it and completely undoing the greatest story ever told in X-Men history (The Pheonix Saga).

We never even got to see the D*M BIRD!

Only bird we got from them was the one given to JM/Cyclops in the movie and another to see how fast they can get us in to spend the money to see thier Film and then get us quickly out the door.

Whatever becomes of X4 - I sure hope it delivers the Soul, Truth and Heart that X-3 did not have or even come close to.

You know what would be killer?

Give the project to a Director who really does care about brining life from a comic book to the bigscreen.

You know Rattner could probably create a good party film - I donno maybe "House Party:Returns" or something.

FOX is good at taking someone elses succes of a creation and playing it back on television at a scheduled time - like thier ranger hour or monkey force hour or something.

Give this project X-4 to someone with a true passion for Marvel Comic Lore and Sci-Fi Fantasy.

You probably will end up with something close to what they believe in and have consumed alot of when they were once young and dreamed big.

Probably something that will reveal a close truth but yet tremendously amazing, real and believeable when revealed on that Big Screen!

I say definatley dump Storm for X-4. She's had enough development and screentime, it's time to get her out and give more characters a chance. Don't kill her, just have her leave the team for some reason. Wolverine should stay, but in a far less important role. Gambit should be introduced, and Cyclops should be revealed to have survived Alkali Lake (captured by Mr. Sinister).

Since Rogue is already in every move, get her powers ffs, I'm really suprised they didnt have Rogue kill Mrs. Marvel yet. But time for her to get her powers, also introduce Gambit w/Rogue (i.e. Rogue runs off kills Mrs.Marvel gets her powers, hides in New Orleans, and guess who is there to lend his shoulder)

I'd like to see Jugernaut come back, I think he's a great villain and has a mass of potentail, if not him then Sentinels are pretty much guaranteed as they were there in X3. Mr. Sinister/Apoc will also do fine

After the Batman debacles I was worried they would never make any mor comic movies, now I'm really happy (even if they do stray a little) to see all these comic movies, I mean Marvel is making a killing off of us fans, and I too cant get enough of them.

- i think it would a huge mistake NOT to try to bring her back ......

i would only make a decision to move on and find a 'big name' replacement " IF " all attempts to re-sign Berry up
for a fourth film fail .....

She has the ability to fly/strength as in the comics Mystique makes her(Rogue) hold on to Mrs.Marvel until Mrs.Marvel dies, then Rogue has Mrs.Marvels power permanently. True comic fans wouldnt consider doing this in a movie to be lame ; in fact I've been waiting on it since Xmen 1, now here we are in X3 and rogue is little more than moral support for the rest of them

We get Wolverine probably in the late summer or Winter of 07... Magneto in the summer of 08... then I hope we get X4-6 starting in 2009 to 2011 latest... I don't think recasting will be a problem... you can sign a new Storm and save a ton of money... there are plenty out there and that's the one major character you can recast... you'll have to dump Jackman cause he will be pretty old by then... Hopefully all the younger Xmen will return but there should really be no rush for the next trilogy...

If you read what even posted on shh, you know that yes, this movie was the end to a trilogy, but that doesn't mean there will not be another trilogy, quadrilogy, whatever. it all depends on if people will watch it and pay for it. and by fridays numbers, i think its safe to say there will be another. but when it is who knows. lets say three years to be on course. Jackman should be doing his movie in the next two years, i would think to hold on to his characters interest, since in x3 there is nothing about his past like the previous two movies, and since he would have his own movie, he could have less screen time in the next movie, cause god knows hes got enough already. as far as halle goes, i think if they can sign her on, that would be great, and i dont think it would be that hard as long as singer doesnt come back, but if he does, i dont see her in it. not to mention marvel is going to be self-financing iron man, which means that they dont have to listen to the studio for beans since they are paying. so if an eventual x4 does come out, and assuming marvel doesnt have any flops, i think they will more than likely throw the dough into the movie.

The franchise is continuing with Wolverine movies. Everybody goes to see Wolverine first and foremost, so why not cut all the other characters anyway? That was Fox's initial idea after the original movie - no X-Men 2, just Wolverine.

First of all flight, strength, and invulerability are not Rogue's natural abilites..it is the ability to absorb the memories and abilities of people she touches, and that is exactly what she does in the films. Also, Ms. Marvel does not die...Rogue throws her off the Golden Gate Bridge, but she is saved by Spider-woman, so maybe you need to brush up on your comic history a little.

As far as Rogue gaining Ms. Marvels powers in X-4, yes it would be lame to just put Ms. Marvel in the film just so Rogue could get them, especially since she doesn't exist in the x-film universe as does no other heroes but the X-Men. It would make more sense for her to get these permanent abilities through abosorbing the abilities of mutants that have these type of powers, at least that would stay with the films.

I am sure there will be an X4, and I am willing to see it as long as they keep Singer AWAY from it. He is such an overhyped director it is not even funny. X2 was a horrible film. Of all of Singers films only 2 were REALLY good (Ap Pupil and Suspects) one was ok (X1) and the rest not so much. I am curious to see how Superman looks (previews have been unimpressive so far) so right now my opinion on him is pretty low.

Unimpressive is right. Superman is just too old and the bad part is that his suit really looks outdated aka the spandex. Only the Power Rangers can pull off spandex and still look modern. Plus you don't revive a franchise that predates most of the intended audience by either a few years to a few decades and expect it to do well. After all, its been twenty-eight years and sure Star Wars did it, but that was different in my opinion (which, by the way, I'm not a fan of).

Actor salaries are the big problem. to keep an ensemble this huge and to add more characters to them is really expensive.

But what I don't get is why Fox paid big bucks to get a Beast, Juggernaut, Callisto, Kitty, Colossus(the list goes on and on) and then not use them properly!

How were they not used properly? I thought they were used great. Granted Juggernaut is not a mnutant so Leech should have had no affect on him, otherwise they were all used great.

Agreed, if you want to look at a movie that failed to use characters properly then watch X2, the Wolverine in that movie was not Wolverine. Hiding around corners stabbing in the foot, talk about lame. That flick had some horribley shot action scenes, just look at Wolverine's leap from the upper staircase. How much worse could that have been filmed, wow, not much.

Juggernaut in this film is a mutant because it would've been more realisitic, just like why Phoenix wasn't from space.

my friend works in holly. she tells me that Halle doesn't want to do it anymore. that she's moved on. i was like "what!" and it is confirmed that she & bryan didn't get along. that he gave more attention to the male actors instead of the females. i just want to see a realistic ****in' movie, a great script, great effects'. i also reminded her that halle is a bit of a drama queen. yes, she does pull a semi-jennifer lopez every now & then. if she doesn't want to come back, fine. **** it! get another one or do a scene where storm walks off the mansion to help out her african village or something...
