just finished watching some of the special features for the first time. I never understood why Alan Cumming was so bitter and prissy about the prosthetics and make up. Did Rebecca Romeijn ever complain or Ron Pearlmen or Michael Chiklis ever behave that way in the special features of their films?

It just seems pretty peculiar to me cuz he's getting paid so much, he acts so well in the film... it's like one of those Grey's Anatomy-Ellen Pompeo moments... she acts so innocent and nice on the show yet on that one stint on Punk'd she came off really demented and twisted and extremely disturbed... Of course I'm not saying that celebrities should act like the characters they are on screen, I just find how funny the different dualities can be...It seemed like he enjoyed making the movie, he did such a great job in it, i just find it funny he kept on going on about it and how he threatened about the whole "we will have to have a talk if there's a sequel" like a true outright drama queen

Because the prosthetics and make-up are itchy and it took hours to put those stuffs. He must be bored.

Eight. Hours. Of. Makeup. Wake up in the morning. And just sit there... you can't fall asleep, because people are poking and prodding at your face for eight hours straight... they get up and go take breaks... you do not... lots of airbrushing, breathing through straws for an hour at a time... every single day of shooting...

Watch the DVD extras, Cumming outright said he's not coming back for a sequel because of makeup. He tried to take it back too, but it was pretty obviously genuine...

I read somewhere (possibly on the Hype archives) that Alan fully expected to return after hearing that Bryan Singer had left (they didn't get along).
He said he was signed on and waiting for the call...

thats wha I heard...that he wanted to do it as soon as Bryan Singer wasent doing it...he wanted to but he couldnt

But, wouldn't you be willing to go through that to be in such a big film and get payed tonnes for it? I would.

silly man!he was awesome as Kurt an is an awesome actor-he'll come *crawling* back eventually-the nightcrawler fanbase is too huge for him not to!an there's also the fact Alan Cumming is gay an very camp out of character an so is likely to act slightly like a drama queen!

Yeah, okay. Like his sexual orientation has ANYTHING to do with ANYTHING.

Hmmmm....considering the amount these actors and actresses are getting paid. I feel that I could tolerate eight hours of makeup. Cumming should have been a trooper and tolerated it. I didn't read anything about Rebecca Romin (probalby spelled wrong) complaining about her makeup procedure.
