Why were the Fantastic Four boards deleted?

I've yet to see an explanation. I'm just curious really. Not that i frequented them often. But i was looking for it today and they have like disappeared.

I believe so. the Comics ended for an indefinite amount of time and the movie reboot failed so hard on Fox's face that there might not be too much time left until the dream come true hail mary pass of introducing the Fantastic Four where they belong, as Marvel's true first family within their new home of the MCU.

I think its fair to say that Fox have kicked the franchise into the long grass. Last years film was a critical failure and a box office failure, Rupert Murdoch even singled it out as a reason for the company's poor performance. After that no-one at Fox is going to have much interest in going anywhere near the franchise.

Fox did announce that they would do a sequel but you need to remember that they said that before the first film had even started filming so it was always pretty iffy how much they really were commited to it. Its also worth remembering that with Fant4stic Fox were pretty kneejerk with their announcements. You would have months of hearing nothing then a rumour would come out of problems and Fox would counter it with something to make things sound fine. The sequel was announced after rumours appeared that Fox were trying to find a new Director less than two months before the film was set to start shooting.

As the others said.....FOX has announced no plans to make another movie at this time. The last FF movie was an abysmal failure, pretty much the only traffic in the FF forums was posters laughing about the movie. SHH's owner decided to shut down the forum and incorporate the threads into here.
